I have done a regression analysis on a dataset, but due to the way the data is, one of the variable is getting a negative coefficient in the final equation. Eg. Y = aX1 - bX2. But I know for sure that the variable X2 has a positive effect on Y. So, my question is: What to do when your regression or correlation analysis gives you a coefficient which is either of opposite sign or of low magnitude but you theoretically know that for sure the variable has a positive and a strong influence.please help
If your data shows that the co-relation between various features that you are using is not good enough. It is not suggested to build a linear regression model out of the data. Maybe get more data-points. OR try using a different model where a strong co-relation is not necessary to build a good model.
@DATAtab please can help to solve this if we have town that have distance from capital 150 KM and 15000 population and ticket barrier spend 30000 demographic profile of town 3 her we want to predict how sales can be generated using regression analysis and how to model in regression analysis.
Wait I have a better ideea. Mirroring back at the variables layers will lead direct at regression lies on their face to check out how thet take it in Geo Gebra it is a easy way to input data and the regression will appear instant on thier screen.
Lady you are trying to teach multiple concepts at once and there is nothing more confusing to a beginner than that. One f'en thing at a time for simple learning.
