I loved this song, it's what brought FDH to my attention and made me go out and get the album. I love this song... The sentiments seem to echo all walks of life...
love this vidoe, the video for me reflects this womans loss of her son and her desperation and need to communicate with him, to see him once again and her need for him to never leave her ... its so fucking sad and amazing at the same time and i probbaly got it all completley wrong but it sits very well in my headspace and always will ..... thank you x
@hellion240sx Interesting that you ask that - it's been a while since I came up with the concept! When I directed the piece (with just 9 minutes of film stock!) I told each actor a different story for their backstory. The video was one thing for the woman, the man chasing her and the guy undergoing the reverse aging. I hoped that it would be ambiguous enough for people to see something different in it each time and to leave with their own opinion of what was going on.
@MWordsworth Unfortuneately My opinion is I'm confused as #$%^ LOL. I'm still confused. and do you have the lyrics to this song? song is amazing. Gives me goose bumps.
The song's about communication. Or lack of it. Speak or be silent. Interesting that that there were three separate stories because I would have gone for her needing to escape an abusive relationship and being guided by the falling guy. The further she got away the younger he became as she was feeling more childlike and free.
what is the meaning behind the vid? Is she running from a husband/ abusive relationship. Was that her kid? did he die? I am imagining too many stories, need some help :)
Best support act I've ever seen. And met them out in Bristol after and such lovely people.
How did this not become a massive hit?
Still listening in 2024
