    Very interesting Glenn ….. I’ve wondered what those pods looked like when turned. Enjoyed watching you deal with it, so I won’t have to 😆. Liza good to hear your observations in the background …… missed you on a couple of videos 🤠. #BASE CAMP MASK

      It's very dusty Randy. I just did not like those fluffy bits. Got through it in the end. Turned out ok in the end. Liza's finished her painting for now, so she will be behind the camera again. Take care Randy.

    I can remember my Mom and Dad would take whiskey bottles and put candles in them. The colored wax would run down the outside of the bottle. They would use different colored candles and the drippings would build up over time. Have not thought of that in years till you were showing the candle holder.

      I remember that well too. Glad we could bring back some fond memories. In the 60's 70's my dad use to make candles and sell them on a stall in Petticoat Lane.

    The best way I have found to get read of the fluid is to wire bush and then sand it.

    Would stabilising the pod before turning help eliminate the fluff? #BASE CAMP MASK

      @glennteagleofukwoodcraftca5308  8 месяцев назад +1

      You can't stabilise it. It's like fur. Too late for the comp, finished it last weekend.

    If it is in deep all you can do is dig it out.

    Embrace the Fluff!! What if you used a pick like a dental pick to clean out some of the holes and then put some thin CA on it to harden it up? Make the fluff spots part of the design.

    What a craftsman you are! What was the wood? I see and hear that you’re frustrated by the fluff. But in the beginning I thought the orange fluff part made such a good contrast to the more finished spotted white. So, although you didn’t like it, I am sure many people would😊
