This song is one of the most difficult even for German singers. The German language is terrible. Well, Thomas Hampton is the outstanding singer mastering German wonderfully . For the aria “ Ach, ich fuehl’s “ there are two outstanding singers, late Anna Moffo and Genia Kuehlmeier. They bring me to tears. We find excellent voices as Renee Fleming and Anna Netrebko , both couldn’t reach the emotion of sadness which is the most difficult feeling to express here. Why did Mozart make it so difficult?
