thanks for your in-depth video on wiz. I just got to lvl 12 from mostly soloing and just started to do groups. I saw you go over your rotation when in groups by my question is how do you judge whether how much you spam or not? Since i'm used to soloing i'm used to using my abilities frequently to kill quickly. In groups, they die much slower and sometimes i feel like i'm either casting too much or too little. I want to make sure i'm adequately DPSing, since wizard brings good damage to the table, but i don't want to slow the group down having to worry about my focus regen or being OOM'd. Is there a sweet spot or any guidelines you use to ensure you're being an asset to the team?
That's a great question. If I have focus and mana I am casting nukes. Group targets do die slower than solo targets, however, if you have a group with a tank, healer, support and 3 dps they should be dying fast enough that you shouldn't really have issues. The only time I would stop casting is when the target is around 10-15%. The reason I do that is because the target will likely die before my spell cast finishes so the time is better spent sitting getting mana for the next target.
Great advice thanks for the tip!
Good stuff =)
