I grew up in a 2200 ft² house with a full basement (unfinished) on two and a half acres and it was so sweet. The front yard on the other side of the driveway in front of the house sloped down and that was my playground, but it was also kind of wild with weeds and bumblebees. Ask mandr : In your recent battlepack review, you stated that the arc trooper was one of your favorite clones lego had made. What is your least favorite clone? Love your vids, keep up the good work.
Personally this will be a hot take but the Bomb Squad clones and the Gunner from the 2008 clone walker battlepack. Bomb squad clones aren’t badly designed and look great in small numbers in a 212th MOC but they aren’t at all good for army building. Same reason for the clone gunner. Yes it’s well designed but when it comes down to it wouldn’t that set have been better if that clone gunner was one more regular clone. Yes there are worse clones out there in my opinion but I think that super specialized clones generally in battle packs is not ideal. Especially if it’s some utility or pilot clone such as the gunner and bomb squad.
As a former packaging engineer, it’s definitely a corporate push to eliminate all plastics from their products. The paper bags you’re showing in the video are most likely lined with som kinda plastic on the inside or some type of polymer coating to seal the bag. There are different alternatives that involve different kinds of starches but they really effect the type of artwork you can put on the bag and the seal strength of the bag. That’s probably why they went with a box option for the mystery packs.
@@aoetje474obviously not gonna make a huge difference in that comparison but it's still a difference. Everyone needs to make changes, just because big companies aren't doesn't mean "oh, if they aren't and they're making the biggest problem then why should I". Sounds a bit childish no?
I think the CMF boxes are a good move. Not siding with LEGO, but I feel that you would actually have the chance to get a minifigure that everybody wanted, instead of a fresh box being "feel" then with the figures all bought, listed on ebay or whatnot at x3 the price and the store is left with the unwanted ones not selling, which was a big problem because the store wouldnt want to bring more stock in. (I am still able to find the disney series 2 in store and they are mostly duplicates as usual with the popular ones missing).
Ask Mandr: Do you think that Lego is purposefully making sets not as good as they can be, so they can still have improvements to make in future iterations? Or is it out of pure laziness? Love the consistent uploads.
That reminds me of Soviet 5 Year Plans... where people running factories would start out doing absolutely nothing, then every 5 years improve just enough to be given even more resources and cash.
I've said this for a while but I really want Lego to make a TIE Punisher. First they should make a new TIE Defender and Vader's TIE Fighter, but after that, I REALLY want them to make one. Such a big and beefy ship, I love it. Perhaps you could make a MOC video by combining multiple TIE bombers, since the two are very similar.
As a legends fan i have to agree, if they make more of those there would be alot of potential TIE fighter variant sets they could make. Im really hoping for a TIE crawler remake myself, the original is good imo but the colouring is inaccurate nowadays
My Oddball dream set would be Asajj Ventress' Fanblade Starfighter from The Clone Wars. You could include a new Ventress minifig in her Nightsister outfit, with Mother Talzin and another Nightsister as extra figures. 🤞
Ask MandR: do you think lego Star Wars will bring back mbs sets? I feel like an Ewok village would sell like crazy and be an amazing build with great mini figs. Love the content btw
Ask MandR: How do you feel about the Solo wave going the extra mile and making 3 new unique helmet molds for troopers appearing in one set (Range, Patrol, Mimban Trooper) but not doing the same for clones like Rex and Vaughn?
Ask MandR: Do you think Lego will eventually make/remake old republic sets? What are some that you would want them to make? I personally would love a remake of Malgus’ ship or Revan’s leviathan
Ask MandR: with LEGO releasing a lot of Nintendo theme collaborations next year do you think this opens the door for Lego exploring more video game franchises (perhaps even more star wars game representation!)
LEGO switching to boxes is very stupid, however my local lego store employees said they plan on still trying to number the boxes and have a little cheat sheet (they had them for the bags and it was amazing.) I don’t know if anyone else can relate?
CMF going from bags to boxes has massively increased the amount of ripped open boxes and scattered figures in my local walmart. Some kid opened ALL of the boxes. This never happened with bags.
AskMandR: when do you think is the right time for the next playset imperial star destroyer? The last one came out in 2014, and for how iconic the ship is I feel like it might be a little overdue.
I can add to the answer at 12:27 about what Lego does to unsold sets. I used to work at a lego store and whatever unsold sets that “outlived their lifespan” were thrown out. Usually once a year around September we were given a scrap list from corporate and we were forced to dump those selected sets in the dumpster.
As for the CMF boxes: you can still guarantee a certain minifig will be in a certain box if you get to them early enough. There are certain sites which list the exact arrangement of the boxes in the tray as it's the same every time
Honestly, I doubt it. It is 15 cents per set (and optional, technically, anyways*), they don't need to make us pay $5 extra per set or anything. Also, I think they have other reasons to do this, for example, they can see what sets someone has been buying, and maybe offer better set recommendations on their website. Or maybe they want to see who is finding ways around the set limit. (You can only buy a limited number of some sets) *Not everyone will know about this and do this EDIT: Sorry, I misunderstood. I thought you were asking if LEGO would increase their set prices, which I was saying that, no, I don't think they will. But will the value of instructions sold separately from the sets go up? Yeah, probably. Maybe not by a large amount, but I bet they will.
Will you ever review the second Avatar The Last Airbender set (Air temple)? Also, here is an idea. You know how Lego Ideas does not allow certain properties? Better call Saul and Breaking Bad are among those, and also ones that I perhaps want the most in Lego form. Now, I do not know if you knew about this, but there is actually an animated tv show based around adventures of very young Saul called Slippin Jimmy, and that show has the same tv rating as something like Stranger Things. My question is, if somebody made a project for Lego Ideas based around this show, would they allow it to progress to Gathering Support phase? I mean, that show was terribly reviewed, but it would still be amazing to get something from BB/BCS universe into Lego form.
Just like with a 2nd chance at Rebels sets coming in Ahsoka, the most likely situation would be getting Rouge One sets that tie into S2 of Andor, like a new U-Wing.

(Ex: I would like to see more historic trains - particularly steam locomotives as I am a railfan).
Ask mandr: Have you ever had a “when I was little, I used to think you were cool” moment in your life? Anyways love the content. Keep up the great work!
With the rumored return of the B2 Battle Droid in 2024, there’s an implication of fixed tall droid legs that comes with them. I know Lego probably won’t make it, but now that the snapping legs have supposedly been fixed, what would you think of a Droid Specialist Battle Pack that includes 2 Commando Droids, 2 Magnaguards, and the build being a mini J-1 Proton Cannon as seen in the Clone Wars?
Ask Mandr: are we going to a shock trooper battle back to go alongside the gunship just like how we had a snow trooper battle pack to go alongside the AT AT. I understand we did not get one for the AT TE. I also think we may not get a straight up battle pack but maybe a couple of troops in a clone super battle pack!
AskmandR: what’s the best battlepack for getting alot of named characters, like the bounty hunter battlepack is bad for army building but you can get 4 named characters for cheap
Ask MandR and Chewbacca: How would you rate Lego out of 10? They have definitely not treated you the best but compared to other companies they are pretty good in terms of working conditions, morals, etc.
Ask mandr : do you think they’ll release a Coruscant Guard battle pack in 2024 to pair with the gunship. Especially since we didn’t get a 212th one for the AT-TE

For those cmfs I only want the moonknight fig, I’m about to just bring a bright flashlight and test it out and see if I can shine it through enough to see what’s inside lol
Kid already has a plan for that. I’ve got a high intensity, bike light we’re gonna use. We’re gonna shake all of it into one corner and try not to open it up and shine the light into the other corner and see if we can’t see a hairpiece or a torso.
I know the “extra” pieces don’t count towards the piece count, but do accessories that come in packs all add to it? Like the clone rangefinders and visors in the 332nd battle pack that you only use one of?
Loved feeling the Minifigure series bags as a child to try find the one or few minifigures I really wanted or to prevent myself from getting many of a bad one. It was always an amazing experience to feel a piece and knowing what you've got but also not knowing 100% until you opened it and found out if you were right or not, truely a shame taking this away with the new boxes for them
Ask MandR: I think one of and possibly the most underrated armies is the Gungan Army, with this next year being the 25th anniversary of The Phantom Menace and with the possibility of an MTT, do you think that we will get Gungans and maybe even (my Holy Grail) a Gungan battle pack?
For the cmfs there is a unique serial number for each character on the bottom of each box and some people have made charts for what character is what number. At least there is still some hope.
It varies from box to box though. Because it's to do with production times/locations it varies between boxes so there's no definitive code for which figure is which.
Ask MandR: do you think Lego will ever make a Jabba's palace similar to the new Lego Gringotts bank, where the palace sits above a Rancor pit with functions to drop Luke down through a trapdoor and the gate to the pen to drop onto the Rancor itself?
Ask MandR: what are your opinions on the castaway game flamethrower trooper and updated 41st scout trooper? I personally hope they don’t update the scout as the imperial scout mold is very inaccurate. I don’t really see many people talk about them. Could either show up in a set anytime soon?
Mega construx prints codes on their blind bags so you can just look up the code and see what figure is in it. Let’s people find the ones they want and is less of a headache then just feeling around and getting doubles.
One of my local stores here in New Zealand has made being able to purchase lego at the self serve station much harder, the employee must scan their tag after EACH item, so buying 5 minifig bags would mean 5 swipes.
Askmandr: why is everyone okay with the death trooper coming in a battle pack but not the senate commandos as both were covenant figures? Love your channel and keep it up
Ask MandR: adding on to the gunship question about giving a price tag and then building a set for the price, Do you think that the reason that all of the sets nowadays are down scaled is because LEGO is too afraid to go overboard on the value of the set?
Ask M&R: Would you like to see a Rogue One Zeta class cargo shuttle? What price point do you think it should be? Also, Seeing as they started making variant Gunships, would you like to see a Blue Squadron X-Wing in keeping with the Rogue One theme? Love the channel
Ask Mandr: Bro not a question but i have not seen your videos bro you are doing so well now. Bro i slowly stopped playing with lego 3 years ago and slowly moved away from lego then i was on RUclips and saw you. Bro i am now 14 trying to get back into lego hope you do even better into the future.
AskMandr: I’ve recently started building a clone army and as of right now I only have the 2020 style of clones, do you think I should go back and get sets like the At-Ap or just stick with the newer style of sets? Love the content and hope to be in the next video👍
Ask MandR: Why has Lego never made a Star Wars CMF series? Does it have something to do with merchandise deals that dictate which companies are allowed to make and sell action figures?
Ask MandR: I just bought the daily bugle but the box is pretty damaged. I usually keep my boxes after building the set but I don’t know if I should this time. What do you suggest I do?
Ask MandR: I’m looking at a Lego lot on Mercari, and it has insane value for the figs. It’s over 1k, and I don’t have much money. I’m thinking of selling my hidden side sets to buy it. What do you think I should do?
Lego’s premium Minifigure, for all intents and purposes, is the $5 cmf. What could a $20 Minifigure look like? I think it’d be cool if Lego had a premium Minifigure line that put more time and effort into prints and accuracy. Essentially customs but not $100+ each thanks to Lego’s resources.
Ask Mandr: I was able to pick up an ARC Trooper battle pack for £30 GBP at a small Lego convention last November. I've been holding onto it to sell but it's such a great set. Does the possible sale price outweigh the enjoyability of the set? If so, should I open it?
ASK MANDR: Would you be able to make a tutorial video converting the Coruscant Guard Gunship to a regular gunship? All I want is a regular gunship but I don't want to spend hundreds of dollars on retired/UCS.
All the complaints about the cmfs are completely ridiculous. The boxes are extremely easy to open carefully enough to be able to reseal them if you get a duplicate. Simply return the ones you don't need.
Ask MandR: When will the Lego clone age end? I feel like we’ve been getting tons of clone sets in the past couple years that it’s going to come to an end with all the upcoming Star Wars movies and tv-shows?
Ask MandR: If you could choose any Star Wars character to get a live action debut who would it be and why? Also if you could pick any Star Wars vehicle (whether it be from Canon or Legends) to be made into a set, which would it be and why?
7:00 thats the first thing i thought, if LEGO really cared for the environment they would just make paper bags like in magazines and what they started doing with LEGO sets. The new style should be switched really fast with an appropriate apology. Im just sad they made the LEGO Marvel CMF which i want the whole series in those boxes, now i have no chance
Another great video Ryan. For my suggestion for "weird stuff", yes yes, Twin Pod Cloud Car. It's been to long since the original and with all the new techniques and pieces it would look amazing.
Ask Mandr: I wonder what you think of my oddball star wars ideas: 1, Cartoon Clone Wars General Grievous with his Tri-Wing Shuttle that he kidnaps Palpatine with. (cartoon Grievous was just far more elegant and badass than the 3D versions, and I wanna see a minifig version of him) This set could include 5 minifigs: Grevious, Palpatine, Shaak Ti, Foul Moudama and Roron Corobb or 2, Sabine's Tie Fighter (an excuse to get a Tie Fighter that was used by the rebels, and better updated SW:Rebels Sabine with her Season2 or Season3 Mandalorian Helmet) Maybe have Zeb and Hera in there too to re-enact the scene when they were crammed in there together

Ask MandR: do you think LEGO releases some of their products early in some places to build hype for them?(for example the marvel CMF)
With the CMF boxes, just open the box, look inside, and close the box. Bring tape if you want to reseal it
Ask Mandr: What's your favorite Lego Star Wars Sequel Trilogy set?
Didn't he make a video about top 10 sequel trilogy sets?
@@coraldiamond1922a very long time ago, yes
Ask MandR: What microfighters do you want to see come out? Also do you think they will retire in 2024? love your channel Thx.
Ask MandR- if lego made a starwars cmf, would you buy them? Personally i would even if there were boxes but I would like to know your opinion.
You’re saying I can’t wheel in a 150 pound scale into a target to get precise measurements on minifigure packs?
Ask MandR: do you think Lego will ever make a Jabba's palace similar to the new Lego Gringotts bank, where the palace sits above a Rancor pit with functions to drop Luke down through a trapdoor and the gate to the pen to drop onto the Rancor itself?
They did that in 2012/2013. You had to buy 2 sets and combine them but it gives the same result
dude I thought that exact same thing when I saw gringotts. that would be awesome!!!!!!!
Ask MandR: Do you think we'll ever get a Pong Krell minifig again.
AskMandR what is the most accurate minifigure and Star Wars set ever?
Tbh, I like the smaller scale of the gunship, I think it looks better with figures, but I don't like the stud shooters and inaccurate doors
Ask MandR: what are your opinions on the castaway game flamethrower trooper and updated 41st scout trooper? I personally hope they don’t update the scout as the imperial scout mold is very inaccurate. I don’t really see many people talk about them. Could either show up in a set anytime soon?
Such an underrated game.
Mega construx prints codes on their blind bags so you can just look up the code and see what figure is in it. Let’s people find the ones they want and is less of a headache then just feeling around and getting doubles.
Ask MandR: what do you think is the best lego building experience in a set. In other words what is your favorite sets to build
One of my local stores here in New Zealand has made being able to purchase lego at the self serve station much harder, the employee must scan their tag after EACH item, so buying 5 minifig bags would mean 5 swipes.
Love the natural light in your new place!
Just wanted to say thanks for your hook up with BasicMan, now loving his channel so more proof that Lego is not just for kids👍
@MandRproductions You should do worst to first entire year selections. Like, 2009 sets, 2015 sets, 2019…just year by year not just sets within years
Ask M&R: Would you like to see a Rogue One Zeta class cargo shuttle? What price point do you think it should be? Also, Seeing as they started making variant Gunships, would you like to see a Blue Squadron X-Wing in keeping with the Rogue One theme?
Love the channel
Ask MandR: did you know that an official Lego George Lucas minifigure was made in the year 2000 and that it’s estimated value is 2600$.
Ask Mandr: When do you think we'll see the next MBS set? And what will it be?
My walmart used to have the glass and they recently just removed it. I was honestly surprised to see it gone
Ask mandr : do u think the ashoka clone battle pack is for the venator ? Like the snow trooper battle pack?
Lego’s premium Minifigure, for all intents and purposes, is the $5 cmf. What could a $20 Minifigure look like? I think it’d be cool if Lego had a premium Minifigure line that put more time and effort into prints and accuracy. Essentially customs but not $100+ each thanks to Lego’s resources.
Ask MandR: If you could have 3 ucs sets be made what would they be
Ask Mandr: I was able to pick up an ARC Trooper battle pack for £30 GBP at a small Lego convention last November.
I've never been to a Walmart that put LEGO behind glass. At that point they should just not sell it. Ridiculous!
Ask MandR when do you think Lego will make a new playscale star destroyer
Ask MandR: If you could choose any Star Wars character to get a live action debut who would it be and why? Also if you could pick any Star Wars vehicle (whether it be from Canon or Legends) to be made into a set, which would it be and why?
Ask MandR: do you think we’ll eventually get a ucs ghost with the Ashoka show coming out?
7:00 thats the first thing i thought, if LEGO really cared for the environment they would just make paper bags like in magazines and what they started doing with LEGO sets. The new style should be switched really fast with an appropriate apology. Im just sad they made the LEGO Marvel CMF which i want the whole series in those boxes, now i have no chance
Ask mandr: I recently watched a video about a 10 mini-figure battle pack from republic studs. Do you think this is true?
Ask MandR have you ever collected anything that wasn’t Lego before or even thought of cellecting?
He probably collected those hasbro action figures
Ask MandR: Do you ever play with your lego sets or do you just display them? I love your videos! Keep up the great work.
Another great video Ryan. For my suggestion for "weird stuff", yes yes, Twin Pod Cloud Car. It's been to long since the original and with all the new techniques and pieces it would look amazing.
Ask Mandr: I wonder what you think of my oddball star wars ideas:
1, Cartoon Clone Wars General Grievous with his Tri-Wing Shuttle that he kidnaps Palpatine with. (cartoon Grievous was just far more elegant and badass than the 3D versions, and I wanna see a minifig version of him) This set could include 5 minifigs: Grevious, Palpatine, Shaak Ti, Foul Moudama and Roron Corobb
or
2, Sabine's Tie Fighter (an excuse to get a Tie Fighter that was used by the rebels, and better updated SW:Rebels Sabine with her Season2 or Season3 Mandalorian Helmet) Maybe have Zeb and Hera in there too to re-enact the scene when they were crammed in there together
