Now they know! The antelope once counted in the thousands in Highlands Ranch, same with the Elk in southern Douglas County. We would catch cut throat trout in the Cherry Creek.

This is why you never buy in a new development. Been there, done that, never again.

NIMBYs. These people complain about overcrowding then refuse to let apartments and infrastructure be built to accommodate it. The state is catering to home owners over renters at every avenue.

The point is that the developers told people one thing, that the area would have a lot of retail and no more than 3 story apartments and way less than they are proposing now. People aren't really against the apartments as it was known there would be some there. The infrastructure is not there for that many apartments and there's no room there to build to accommodate it.

Rural society when you’re living on small lots next to each other? Give me a break. If you want rural society go to Limon or Bennett or Buena Vista. You live 5 minutes from C-470.

When will people get it? Developers are making obscene amounts of money because thousands upon thousands of people are continuing to move here. Do you really think you have a say about what gets built and where? You can't stop it. This is what Colorado is now. It's naive to think anyone can stop it at this point. Everyone wants to be here.

It’s kind of funny to me that people in Douglas county tend to smugly look down on Denver because of the overcrowding and homelessness then when they retreat to their own perch they find it’s happening in their neighborhood too! 😂

Sterling Ranch great outdoors? Rural society? Ever think what was there before the box housing development called Sterling Ranch was there?

It’s usually the people that just arrived that don’t want any more homes built. LOL

How is this the "great outdoors" or "rural society" when you have so many SFH being built close to each other. Looks more like NIMBYism in action then anything else. I am sure if they were building 5000+ sq ft estates, they would not have a problem.

So let me get this right. The rich karen at 1:02 is mad bc they are making homes for people vs more stores bc she wants to walk to the store?
