I’ve sold on EBay for nearly 20 years too and it’s never been this bad🙁 - I’m certain Vinted has had a negative effect on clothing sales.

Agree that ebay has become very stressful for business sellers. Had the worst May ever, June a little bit better. Cost of living maybe factor. Quality still sells but it has been harder to even source those. Charity shop prices are through the roof. People are selling there good stuff themselves for extra money rather than donating

I started selling on eBay in 1997. I quit in 2023. It was a tough personal decision but a necessary business one. I had a store with 3,000+ items. The sales just weren’t happening.

I agree Ebay is super slow at the moment - I haven’t had a “no sale” day for a couple of years and now it’s every other day - I’m having to turn to Vinted more and more but the profit on there is so low as people want to pay car boot prices - I can’t compete with the private sellers on eBay as I have to pay fees etc on my clothing still - hopefully things will change - fingers crossed x

I have an eBay store in Australia and my sales have tanked also, I think people just don't have the extra cash that they once had, it's a worry. xx

It sounds like vinted may be the way forward for clothing. It's such a difficult time, hope things improve for you, sending positive vibes from Liverpool.

Watch so many who have the same problem/ I think Vinted, What Not etc have become popular and also with the cost of living people are cutting back.

Yes mine is shocking and I've gone full time🙄but as I see it I've already paid for the stock so can sit on it but I'm only on the lower tier and am not looking to go to the middle tier anytime soon! Seems lots are selling on Vinted but I thought you couldn't sell on there?

Hi Carla… do you usually use buy it now rather than auction? Also is there a benefit to putting them on at something pounds 99 rather than rounding up ? Just curious 🙌🏼 love your vids & vlogs x

People are looking after their money they probably do like you and go too car boot themselves and save money do you think people watch your utube see what you pay at boot sale then see what you sale them for ?

Well, a few - but I have 10k subscribers and the population of the UK alone is 70million so I don't think that can be the major issue :)

    • @Victoria-kl7su

I don’t think this is the issue either because an individual person would likely have to go,to plenty of bootsales, and over a long period of time, to find the exact item they want to buy, whereas with eBay the seller has already done all that legwork for them hence why a seller may buy an item for £1 and sell it for £20. A big draw for eBay is convenience.
Maybe people are not treating themselves to frivolous things as often thou and are mainly buying essentials? That said, the amount I see in coffee shops having expensive drinks every week suggests that being frivolous is not completely out of the window yet!
