No he unlocked the curse series which is the legendary weapons fail say should heroes lose the will to fight and have a possibility (high one) of just letting themselves die. Watch filo "die" broke Naofumi and in that moment Naofumi may of just let the zombie dragon kill him.

@@dontquestionme5179 yes Naofumi though he lost filo to the zombie dragon. You even see him unlock the curse series technically after the dual with motoyasu. It was when he hit his lowest that Naofumi truly unlocked the curse series in the form of the shield of rage. The curse series isn't unlocked with items.

If only the mod had a companion like in the actual shield hero so you could fully be like Naofumi and only use the shield

If you use doggy talents you can have a dog as a sidekick instead personally I prefer it that way so its more like I am the shield hero instead of I am Naofumi, Kinda like how in the tensura mod where you reincarnate as a slime/goblin instead of Rimaru/Gobsuke
