Listening to this and your original version of the cover feels like the beginning and the end of the journey. The first version is heartbroken and angry, resentful of how they’ve been torn apart...and the second still is, but it’s quieter. Sadder. It’s been three years of nothing but unanswered questions and fading dreams. She wanted so much more, but she’s resigned herself to the fact that there’s nothing that she can do about it.
One of the things i've noticed people haven't truly appreciated is that the lyrics are sung along to Three In The Morning, the leitmotif of Flare. Specifically, I'm reffering to the version "Three In The Morning (Aftermath)." It's these kinds of things that makes me appreciate the work you do!

Flare, an offshoot of Game Over where all the characters except Jade die permanently, then the HorrorTerrors revive Dave and they live happily ever after (kinda) Frost, where the HorrorTerrors don't intervene, and all the planets crumble away to dust. Flower, where Nice Flowey starts puppeteering the human characters (and _only_ the human characters because he doesn't like the Trolls very much, casting them aside) And Flumpty, where the aforementioned breaks into Paradox Space and kills everybody on sight (and they don't come back). I come from the Flower timeline, and until now, Nice Flowey has been controlling every little aspect of our lives. Until Rose killed him. Then she gained the flower's powers, and gog knows what will happen when it's Rose controlling us?
i think flowey and rose have very different motives and backgrounds. i don't think they'd end up using that kind of power the same way. rose is very curious about others but she doesn't go to the extent dirk has about being Sure She's Right. additionally, controlling others leads to a very solemn and sad life where you don't actually feel real connection... and i think she knows that too. if she doesn't want them she should let them go and allow the energy to disperse. as for the other timelines, i'm not sure what to say. my arguments and debates for character's wellbeing are generally based around canon. this is because i've done everything i can to allow people ways in and out of alternative timelines, in order to let people live how they'd like to. but no one *has* to go through anything i've written, and it was never intended for that purpose, nor was the direction of energy there. flare, for example, was inspired by the kids having to separate for years -- something already in progress. it was never meant to be the end, just the fact that it *feels* like an end when you know for sure you won't see someone again for a long time. it was a catharsis of not being able to see the people you love for a very long time. i chose jade for the image because she'd gone through the experience of finally, finally spending time with a friend in reality after spending years on an island -- and then had it ripped away in a horrifying spell of traumas. it was catharsis. but if that fits a timeline, so be it. just know that my biggest contribution was to write up, hoping the writing worked the same as any other written universe, a "safe place" for any character in any timeline. use it and any tools you can to better weave your fate. you won't find any stories on it because it's only meant to try to help with these issues - creators who are putting their characters through too much. you're supposed to be able to access it at any time if it ever reached anything. so if shit goes down and all writing is connected in this absolutely insane universe, go there. we have a sensing system that kicks people into time out if they're about to hurt someone. do it too many times and you gotta wait in line in hell before you can come back lmao
