Once I bought an equity share of Gail of shares of around 6000 quantity. The Upstox executed orders partially and there was almost 26 number of orders executed.
When I checked the contract note, for each and every executed order, they charged Brockage.
But at the same time, 5paisa took only flat ₹20 for the same order.
In Upstox, I paid almost ₹520 as Brockage only while 5psisa charged only ₹20.
From then only I'm using 5paisa. Even though short selling is not encouraged by the brocker 🔥🎉
Now I realized why PR Sundar has started his own brokerage....so that he can't be cheated by these Indian brokers. Wise decision!

Yes. Even the most popular discount brokers who tells free delivery are charging DP charges upto 16 rupees when you sell your shares.

Even I noticed same with Zerodha. They were charging different brokerage. After implementing T2 settlement the contract note they are sending second day that makes regular follow up difficult. Brokers utilising that opportunity.

Will be very grateful if you can enlighten us with all the types of charges which brokers can charge as per the norms prescribed by the regulator. 5 paisa always cheating, everyday they are deducting unnecessary charges and after pointing out, they are reversing it.

After having 3 acts with upstox, zerodha and angel... I can say zerodha has most transparent system but still very advance and fast in devlopments.

Look, its simple. Since all brokers are regd with sebi, they can give a comparitve charts about the charges of all brokers. So public can make an informed choice. They wont do. A lot of countries left china after covid, they were supposed to come to india but most went to vietnam. Nothing will change in this country. You want to be honest but systems will force you to become corrupt. Live with it.

i face problem similar with angel broking firm they cost me 1 nifty lot at 600 rs ,so i went to sebi then after 2 months i get my money back.
How do you approach sebi, I suspect zerodha.
Go to sebi score website and register with your email and password . Then register your complain

I completely agree,recently on budget day I had taken an intraday trade in the morning and suddenly after one hour the app stopped working, I could not open the app, and when the I tried to contact no one responded untill market is closed, I could not sqare off my trade on time and lost money, on the next day when I contacted they just said sorry..but what about the losse due to their mistake..

That is not cheating though we incur losses. Technology is vulnerable to failure and they make sure we agree to be held responsible for the consequences in our applications. It is the same with any broker.

Why brokerage plays a key role?
Every trader should keep in mind before choosing a broker and these are the key parameters some one should pre check before opening up a trading account
1. First and the fore most is the software and the comfortability working on the same with ease
2. Most of the traders get mis guided by the huge margins being provided but again trading on huge margins probability losing out the capital quick
3. How much we pay for each trade is more important as it directly impacts the profit - most importantly paying brokerage from profits are OK but imagine paying high brokerage even on losses
Many dont even look at the contract notes every day
4. If the broker provides an APP as we may trade at times on the move too also one should check if they have call and trade facility
5. Capacity - there are a few brokers with huge customer base always has a problem on big days and thats where we get chances to make big money..
Also as they have huge customer base most of the times it gets slower when loaded fully.
6. Some brokers do not allow to pick OTM strikes, which again making huge profits through those calls gets affected
7. There are people who pay even 150 rs for buying options per lot, god knows how they make profits
Also a few people say they pay a 0.7percent and if they look at the contract note , they will know how much they spend out
Though I have about 7 to 8 brokers , I have always used Trade Smart as my primary broker which is not only cost effective but also very much user friendly
Most of the traders just to avoid brokerage , instead of pyramiding at bottoms or tops , they buy at one go just to avoid small brokerages
A retail trader on my experience trades about 10 to 15 entries
Even 10 entries 10 * 20rs per day
200rs * 22trading days is easy 4500
In the unlimited 3999 plan u can trade as many as you, Be Smart and Trade Smart...
BM of a broking firm is authorised to view positions of clients...so I observed, a BM monitored entry intraday positions of another client in live mkt and asked me to take counter position and exit with profits within next 5 minutes...this happened with Voltas futures at 270-275 levels during 2016-17. period.

If you do BTST and if you hold such shares in your account they will lift the shares and credit after T+2 . And charge demat charges.
Another tactic is short delivery, since most discount broker offer no brokerage for delivery trade, investers trade in small lots to average cost, I noticed that had bought 20 shares of 1 script everyday for whole week (5 days * 20 shares = 100) since it was falling, after like a month I had only 80 shares in demat. That is when I called broker, where are remaining 20 shares? They said short delivery! Were they waiting for Diwali or Christmas to reverse credit for 20 shars money or auction delivery?

I have come across this situation. When I logged into my share account and tried to look into profile etc., I found some other mobile number and e mail id. When I talked to the share broking office, they said that there is some computer hitch. Second time when I gave the clear warning, it stopped.
There is additional subscription charges for collaterals besides pledging charges. annual subscription charges around 2000 + GST. This is besides individual scrip pledging charge upto Rs 60 which I have seen.
Zerodha Took my Option Money from ZEEL a year ago.. when I called them ...They return back... stating some settlement issue
I think Zerodha is best.. Till now no hidden charges have been charged..

The best way traders can check such issues, is to create a contract notes they themselves, before they get one from the broker. The difference between the contract notes created by self, should not deviate with the one sent by broker. If one does it in excel sheet everyday (a formula driven excel sheet), wrong billing could be opted out immediately and broker can be taken by horns at once.
There is no clear statement of their commission charged....

U r absolutely right sir..they manipulate the average price of stock too..and they take out the money from it..this happened with me in zerodha...I registered a complaint to sebi..

Sometimes when l woke at 3.30 AM (IST) & if l saw the Trading Balance in Angel One Account, it showed 0.00 irrespective of whatever the exact trading balance money. Then lf l checked it later, say 7 AM, then orginal amount of trading balance available.

Sir goodmorning...I experienced another issue that suppose we placed 5 Lots at a time brokers are splitting up them in 5 orders maximum time. They are telling 20 or 10 per lot but they cheating like this. Last time I bought 200 shares in cash but they have splitted up 200 quantity in 10 orders.
While watching this video...I got advertisement of free brokerage....

Sunder ji, Though I disagree with you on so many issues but still I respect you a lot. My only rift is that you are soly for Rich people. Any way kindly apprise viewers about TAXABLE VALUE OF SUPPLY, as brokers are showing this in contract note. This contains brokerage exchange fees and sebi turnover fees. I raised the issue with sebi and my broker Motilal Oswal regarding this. And another issue is that last week 5paisa had technical problem lasting from 9.15 AM to 12.30 PM. causing so much of loss to many. I have lodged a complaint to the SEBI as well as the CEO of 5 paisa. Kindly you also take up this issue. Thank you Sunder sir and hope you will stand and educate down trodden people also.

With icicidirect I'm almost always in loss at least for a few days after I buy a share because about 1 % brokerage is added to the buying price !
Full service brokerage Firms should relook at there charges , the only convenience you get is auto dr. from Bank a/c other than that , i dont find any exclusiveness in there services. however since they have high no of accounts. they dont find the need to make any changes to there charges.

I would like to know. I bought 300 unit of liquid bees, 58 days before. When I sell sell 300 unit i did get any credit unit or extra money. However I loss 1488 rupees for brockage. Kindly let me know. How does work liquid bees. As per my knowledge this is debt scheme and if I sell even in one month. I should get interest or extra unit of liquid bees.
Yes recently only few days back during market hours i bought shares of 2 companies after some time the Net Positions of the shares become double of both the companies. On sending Screen Shot immediately to RM & also mailed with attached screen shot to the very famous broking company they have not replied to mail. Next day on sending 1st Reminder they replied sorry it was a technical error & given many suggestions like refresh it, etc. Such Errors become Twice in 10 days. They just given standard answers & not replied to my question that If market could have been closed then there is no meaning to Refresh it. After 5 Reminders on giving warning that this matter will go to SEBI they replied that we are updating our software so happened. Sir these broking companies know how to reply & not to come in Fault.

ICICIDIRECT Prime or pre paid plan will not charge interest on pledged Securites. Charging happens only in Neo Account.
I'm a prime member in ICICIdirect, it doesn't charge me any interest but I have paid them brokerage of 5 lakhs in this year already.

Last week the gross profit on the end of the day is 1100 rs next day net profit to my credit is only 310 rupees the rest of 800 was taken as brokerage and service charges.upon enquiry the promised to reduce the same but not have effected . Last week on the profit of 5200 the net credit was 4100 on a turnover 32 lacks

Earlier you recommended IIFL. But, they did not change the bank account number for my daughter, when she requested. In fact, it is the same bank and the bank had changed the account number. Now, who is to be contacted. The bank or the broker. If I fail to deposit a dividend cheque, I will be loosing the shares also after 3 years. So, this is a serious problem. Kindly advice.
