The Japanese story you related is about “Kaizen”. This is constant improvement with simple way out.
I went after complicated indicators and strategies . Spent 3 years on testing all indicators and strategies. Waste of time but that was my passion. No regrets. Iam back to where i started. Only difference now is i know which stocks to buy. When to enter and when to exit. Its very simple as PRS said. I just complicated it .

This is the case study given for us when I was doing my engineering course in MIT Chennai in 1982 in Business management course as a part of my curriculum. Life has both simple and complex problems... The mother nature doesn't know whether a problem is simple or complex 😜 it just presents the problems in front of you! Don't assume always a problem will have simple solution.. see for example the jaguar car that you own.. if one chased only simple problem, you would be on an stonage car with no engine! True. In all sectors or industries there is no need of good education. I started Intraday with a lot of stuff in mind but now I don't check for all that bullshit. And now I make money. But main thing is you have to accept the mistakes and losses you have made and learn from them and never repeat same mistake again. One more imp thing is to read investing and Trading books.
