My Epic never disappoints. They keep progressing with each release, and I love that about them. I especially love how real they get with their lyrics. It’s not that seemingly apparent worship, but what’s right in front of them.
Discovered this band at the right time in my life and by no accident! Powerful chords, powerful drums, banging bass lines, and oh my the vox and lyric. Gentlemen, please don’t ever stop making music! #hopecore
@@guitartedoutlaw I wrote "new" cuz I read in comments how people complain a bit about "new My Epic." Ofc it's not new, u can hear it. But I still see the progress and if they continue that way (developing towards the album concept as u r saying) it will probably be smth even more interesting.
God is using your music to reach those that are lost... Lyrics, originality and the genre.. While I see a passing time that used to be more directed and discerably Christian, I do not discount your heart. The Spirit of the Lord most High is evident.. Please, just, do not lose root. There are many that would discount My Epic... I am not there or one of them.... Love rocking out to you all in traffic... Much better than other bands... say ACDC
I wouldn't worry too much. For this album they said it would be lyrically about some of the harder to answer questions in Christianity, and living out the Word even when we don't understand.
Graças a Deus eu encontrei pessoas que têm um bom gosto de música! 💕 Bandas cristocêntricas assim, como My Epic, deveriam ter mais atenção, pois são músicas de alta qualidade.
According to the band, this album is all about staying faithful to God despite hard times and not knowing the answers to a lot of hard questions. I think this song is specifically about fighting between sects in the church, but also about the current political divide and how to handle it according to their faith.
Musically, this is great. Lyrically, this feels (for me at least) like I`m not listening to My Epic. This two singles, compared to the substance we find in ”Lower still”, ”Arrive”, ”Hail”, ”Open Letter”, or ”Memoir” and so many others just seem ... childish. Maybe it`s just me, but these songs lack so much meaning and substance are so much about the man that it seems we forget the Lord. Who gives you the power to forgive, even after „all they have done?” It`s really just ones decision?
Sometimes people hit hard times, and sometimes the best medicine in those times is some cold hard honesty to work it out. I'm getting the vibe that Aaron is working through some grief, some confusion, some anger, cause why else would he write an album called Violence? We may not hear deep theological threads in some of these songs, and this album may not have a resolution to those feelings, but it's his epic (lol) and perhaps he's searching for answers and a resolution through this album, and I expect that some time down the road we will see completion, maybe a response or development in future work.
I'm curious as to why you feel this is childish and lack meaning and substance. Because to me, there's more meaning to this than any Sunday morning worship pop song.
@@tayloraustin6048 I`m not comparing this to the Sunday morning worship pop song. I`m comparing it to what My Epic has done in the past. I feel it is childish because there is no moment in the song where the singer/composer turns to God for help. One has been bruised by another christian, let`s say, but what does one sing about? Nothing about God, everyhing about man. Where does one find their power? Well... I guess in their decision. Isn`t it childish not to shout out to God and cry for help when someone, probably another christian has hurt you? Even in the most `aggressigve` Psalms we find that in the end God is still the same, our strengh will be found only in Him, and so many other encouraging declarations.
@@jonathanfairhurst5568 For the most part you could read my reply to Robert. As far I as know `My Epic` means `God`s Epic` not Aaron`s epic. I think they talk about it in one of their album documentaries.

Can't wait to hear this chapter unwrap, and I'm sensing this will probably be the most raw My Epic has ever been. Love you guys lots ❤️
What did you think of the full EP?
Mais uma música maravilhosa! Esses caras são demais! É perceptível a inspiração que eles têm em Deus. 💕🇧🇷
Uhuu, BR aqui!

melhor banda do mundo hehehe
This is your best work yet. Outstanding, moving, and truly riveting. Can't wait for the full release.
I haven't listened to them since about 2010 and I come back and find this. So powerful and honest.
Blown away as always with your release. Bring the healing like a hurricane.
Litrelly started wriggling on the couch like a 5 year old on Christmas when I heard this intro!
Awesome work My Epic team!
keep it real guys
This lyric video is cooler than most full-blown music videos. Hats off to y'all for another great song.
Video, music, lyrics, vocals, all individually awesome, then put together.....WOW!!!!!!!!
I like "new" My Epic better. I like angry vocals, progressive bass, not so sweet lyrics. They have progressed a lot.
Yulia Andersen it’s because of the concept behind this particular record. It’s not “new” persay...

Hey Facedown, Can you sign the Band "Ecclesiast" to your Records? Because these guys deserve more recognition for our LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.
Them and "Bloodlines" from Texas, two bands who are the real deal
