Happy Holidays 2023: Twittering (le Gazoüillement) by F. Couperin - Susan Adams, harpsichord

Dear friends and followers, we hope this lovely piece adds a festive touch to your holiday season. Published as part of Couperin's sixth suite of harpsichord pieces, Twittering, formerly known as X ha ha, embodies the gentle sounds of birds. Susan plays our French double-manual harpsichord on the peau de buffle, a register which is quilled in leather. The delicate melody is enhanced by trills and ornaments which are hallmarks of the golden age of harpsichord in France.
