One thing I really have to hand to this mod: It knows how to use the Light Speed Dash. I always kind of viewed it as a redundant ability, since using it on the ground is essentially just a substitute for running/rolling and using it in the air is basically just an elaborate quicktime event. But in Mania, the ability is basically the perfect tool to gain/regain speed while in the air or in front of a slope. An experienced played can save so much time with it, it's great.
After 2 years, the legendary mod has finally made its return. They absolutely nailed this mod. No wonder why it took 2 years of development for it to come back.
I've been anticipating the completion of Sonic Megamix for YEARS... I cannot wait to play this mod sometime! City Outskirts Zone being left out of the demo is a *crime* tho :(

There’s the “fun is infinite” Sonic, but an even deeper cut, the hiragana text on the left. ゆーあーくーる (says: “you are cool” in spoken Japanese, rather than translated). Attention to detail and love has gone into this, and I luv it. This mod is sick, props to the developer! :)
That's cool. But I hope someday creating new bosses in Mania would be possible. Also porting Silver and other characters from S-Factor hack would be great.
Damn i can't get to run this mod on my EG Sonic Mania Plus Copy, does anyone have the same problem? There was a moment in which i actually could run it but after that it just didn't do it anymore
@@CatWarior22 I think Classic fans tend to have this bias towards anything that is 'technically from the classic era'. They'll pretend Blaze doesn't exist, but then they will throw in a thousand Bark the Polar Bear easter eggs. They'll constantly try to rehabilitate Labyrinth, Metropolis or Sandopolis Zone, but most modern level themes are yucky and shouldn't be touched under any circumstances.
@@CatWarior22it depends on level design. Ray's flying ability can be very useful if the level takes place in an open area, like any levels similar to Green Hill, Angel Island or Sky Sanctuary. And Shadow's double jump ability is just generic and boring, in my opinion, yet his Jet Stomp ability can be very useful for speeding up on ground, especially if there are slopes that go downwards
He wasn't playable in the original ROM-hack, so he wasn't added here too. And he was replaced by Shadow, because Shadow actually was in the original ROM-hack
