I like the outdoor cat tower idea as well, and the cats seemed to be rather smitten by it as well! 😻 As far as cat disagreements go, that was very civilized, but I expected nothing less from gentle Maru 😽, and it was so cute seeing Hana grooming him later ❤.

Mugu San must be living in somewhere northern Japan. That's why even in early September one can hear the cicadas' cries. It's been reported that there are over 3000 different cicada species worldwide, perhaps what you have in your part of the world is different from the species found in Japan. Insect sounds communicating to find a mate are distinctly specific to each species. May be that's why, because it's a sound different from what you hear in your country, that made you think these are not cicadas.
Poor Maru. Judging from the way he lapped the water in the bowl he was very hot and dehydrated on the cat tower, tried to get down but inadvertently stepped on Hana who in turn snapped back at him. Blocked by both Hana and Miri he had to make a risky dismount onto the nearby scratcher/recliner and fortunately landed safely. 🥰😍🤩😘
They made up afterwards, so sweet. Of course they can’t always be in a good mood, and we’re very lucky to have them, even when they’re a little bit cross.
Even though they are nature's sounds, the noise of those insects (cicadas?) would drive me crazy! I'm so glad we don't have them where I live in England!
@@blw2024Exactly. They are just the sound of summer, and most of the time you don’t even notice them. But the Japanese cicadas sound a bit different from their American cousins who make more of a background drone.
Clearly some family counseling would be helpful in resolving the incident on the cat tower. But in the end it appears a solution was reached without having to involve outside resources.
Maru looks so disappointed when cold time is already over! ❄️🙀He gets fresh air on the cat tower, throning selfishly at the top, the coolest place ! It's not galant for Hana, grooming adorably Maru, dispite their domestic dispute! 😅😾❤️🐈

はなちゃん達にはなんでもない高さだけどまるさんには体重も重いし、手足短いし、高齢だから何回かに分けて降りたい高さだったよね
仕方なくあの高さとあれだけ離れてる爪研ぎにジャンプしたけど
骨折したり筋違えたりする事もあるから、あの高さはもうまるさんはママが抱っこしておろした方がいいかも
はなちゃんと反対側にはみりちゃんがいてまるさん降りれなかったんだよね😢しかも網戸迄が近くて難しいジャンプだったね😢まるさん頑張ったね😢😊
