Jimmy, I just came back from a lovely trip along the milky way I stopped off at the North Pole to spend the holiday I called on old, dear Santa Claus to see what I could see He took me to his workshop and told his plans to me Now Santa is a busy man, he has no time for play He's got millions of stockings to fill come Christmas day You better write your letter now and mail it right away Because he's getting ready, his reindeers and his sleigh You'd better watch out, you'd better not cry You'd better not pout, I'm telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town Santa Claus is coming to town Santa Claus is coming to town He's making a list, he's checkin' it twice He's gonna find out whose naughty or nice Santa Claus is coming to town Santa Claus is coming to town Santa Claus is coming to town He sees when you are sleeping He knows when you're awake He knows if you've been bad or good So be good for goodness sake Oh, you'd better watch out, you'd better not cry You'd better not pout, I'm telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town Santa Claus is coming to town Santa Claus is coming to town With little tin horns and little toy drums Rooty toot toots and rummy tum tums Curly head dolls that toddle and coo Elephants, boats, and kiddie cars too Santa Claus is coming to town Santa Claus is coming to town Santa Claus is coming to town Then kids in Girl and Boy land will have a jubilee They're gonna build a toyland all around the Christmas tree So! You better watch out, you better not cry Better not pout, I'm telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town Santa Claus is coming to town Santa Claus is coming to town Santa Claus is coming to town
So incredibly touching, Brahms’ famous lullaby, which has existed since like 1868. As I always say, if such a tearjerker doesn’t make you weep, you must have no soul.
12/26/23 I'm 70 loved these songs in 1962/1963 & have ever since. An Xmas tradition! Never realized til TODAY that there are 2 versions of this song. This is the kick ass rock with wailin' sax version that I'm used to. There is a sadly toned down, watered down, no soul, no beat, no sax version out there that I just listened to. 🤢🥱🤮 What up Specter? ... Anyway .. Feliz Navidad, everybody!
They sparkle like diamonds.
There’s only a few left of this group of great singers. Wow I suddenly feel so old. Because I reach all the way back to the 50s & 60s and its now 2022

At the beginning, they had the tone of Brahms Lullaby and they will sing a song for Christmas after the lullaby stops!

I love this Christmas song 🎅🫂
Me too.
The Christmas Star (1986) bought me here 🥰
I listened to it in January
Hal Blaine what more can you say.
Underrated song
Thank you 😁🎶❤👍...🙏❤✝️
❄🎄 👊
I love how they tweaked the melody for the chorus. Then the Jackson 5 elevated it to pure perfection
Then Bruce Springsteen topped it all.
@@GardenCelluloids nahhhhh you trippin. Michael Jackson did it better than anyone
@@thescoobymike I disagree respectfully.
And this is where Bruce Springsteen got his arrangement for this song from.
Other artists have arranged it like that. Jackson 5, The Pointer Sisters, Wilson Phillips, Miley Cyrus.
The Crystals sound like they were from the 60s.
They were, in fact. This rendition is so touching, with the Brahms’ Lullaby introduction. Just brings a tear to my eye.
@@MrJamieMurph4141969 thank you.
YES!!! They were ! This is from THE most famous Xmas album- ever !!! Check it out !
@@markpearson4693 maybe, thanks.

Phil Spector!!
Is it “The kids and girl in Boyland” or “The kids and girl in Toyland?”
I so confused🤨
I hate phill spector after what he did to ronnie ronette
What did he do?
