You remembered correctly about the mean guy in Zenitsu’s past and the kid that sold out the Stone Hashira’s family. There was a reason they put the letter and the Stone Hashira’s backstory in the same episode.
I like to think Himejima is constantly crying because of that night of course, but also because that's his repetitive motion. So when he chants the nenbutsu he's always remembering that sadness, but he does it because it keeps him constantly at his peak.
its understandable to not immediately know gyomei is actually blind just because of the white eyes. after all there are plenty of anime/manga characters that keep their eyes closed all the time but can see just fine. some characters when enraged also get those white eyes so it could've easily been just part of his character design for all we know before the reveal.
The manga actually included a little note in the same Gyomei backstory of Sayo’s story. She didn’t mean Gyomei when they questioned her. She was talking about the demon but she was four and in shock

Worst part about it is the author saying in the same Taisho secret that Sayo still regrets to this day that she couldn’t explain properly and has always wanted to apologize to Gyomei about it 😭 like, what if she doesn’t even know that he didn’t get executed and has lived thinking she got her beloved caretaker killed? Pain, just pain 😩

The idea that muzan is casually walking through a wisteria barrier which is what is causing the smoke would actually be really clever

Quick bit from the manga is that the girl did NOT sell Gyomei out. She was talking about the demon, but since the demon turned to dust and Gyomei was the only other survivor and covered in blood...The authorities decided it must have been Gyomei

Some common sense. The Love Hashira uses a whip sword and the Stone Hashira uses what looks like a ball and sickle weapon. Since both of their weapons are completely different than a standard sword shouldn't all the recruits need to hold and practice wielding a whip sword and ball + sickle in order to learn techniques from the Love and Stone Hashira? It's like having a Gun Hashira trying to teach the recruits how to shoot without having them use a gun.
They aren't teaching recruits love breathing forms and stone breathing forms. They all have their own breathing styles already. Mitsuri taught flexibility training and Gyomei taught strength training, which is universal to any style (though of course some styles benefit from each one differently and by different amounts)

I think the letter has something to do with that boy in gyomeis backstory that we also seen in season 1 when they showed us zenitsu backstory. he was shown twice now but we know nothing of him and he clearly made a impact on the story because of what he done. so im just thinking that maybe something happened to the gramps because of him or something but it’s just a prediction

The Hashira training arc is legit one of my favorite in the whole story despite how short it is
Try to remember that alot of people have low attention spans. It was inevitable that this season would be divided due to how much it FEELS like a filler and there's less action.
