  • With its winding canals, historic architecture, and fabulous food - it's no surprise that 30 MILLION people visit Venice every year. But in the hope of reducing the number of tourists, the city has now imposed a €5 entrance fee for day-trippers - which is equivalent to £4.30. So is it really worth taking a trip to The Floating City? We've sent Josie on her first-ever visit to Italy to find out.

It’s a small price to pay to see one of the most magical cities on earth. I spent my 50th there last year.

  • @crystaldance5731

  • @WorldOfMikeThePartworkWrangler

  • @schlageschlage

It’s fun to get lost in Venice! Especially fun in October ❤

  • @darlataddeo6376

It should actually be more than 5 Euros!

  • @DGsa1661

5 Euros is very low. The maintenance of Venice must be astronomical.

Italy is such a beautiful country. I have travelled through it a number of if times now. I have to say however, Venice was nothing special for me. Each to their own but I found it to be very very sure of itself with the streets full of aimless tourists. Give me Florence or Milan instead any day.

  • @Fullmoonhowl101

    Please stay in Venice 🤞

  • @Themis33

There are just as beautiful locations that don't stink of poo. So why pay €5 to go there!?

  • @tulip19710226

I can understand their reasoning but would they survive if tourists stopped coming. Seems a bit odd for a place that relies on Tourists to charge people to visit. If you have reservation and are staying a few days I'm guessing there is no 5 Eur fee.

    Hello

  • @Samuel-bg7xo

You can tell its busy with all the people around her. The locals are annoyed due to their city being not livable anymore . People go somewhere else. Stop being selsish. These people can't even live in the city anymore. Properties are all air b&b etc. It's not funny or cute

  • @airs1234

It stinks of sewers most of the year.
