he would be a great commentator alongside Justin Wong or something. Too many other commentators just fill the air with garbage or over-commentate. Just call out key moments and reversals and keep it loose.
He can’t be the main voice. His analysis takes a little more time and doesn’t always follow pace of game but some review type commentary from him would be awesome. Basically what he does here for us. BRINE!
Brian still competes in World Warrior and stuff right? I don't think you usually get active competitors to be commentators for tournaments. Justin Wong pretty much stopped competing completely around the same time he started commentating.
i think hes better as an analysist after the fact sorta like sport post game shows, because they can break down more things than just surface level and move on. He'd be a solid commentator but i think if you asked him rn he'd probably travel and compete than travel and commentate but I aint a mind reader so idk.
I wish he actually explained why he didn’t like Honda besides “other characters like him were better adapted to the modern era” I have no idea what that implies. What’s wrong with Honda?

@@coffeenexus9077 Dunno about Brian, for me it's that it feels like you're the only active participant in the match. The Honda player might as well be playing with a Divekick controller where dive is buttslam and kick is headbutt. Which strength did he use? Doesn't matter. How much spacing is between you and him? Doesn't matter. How does his offense structure change when you're in burnout? It doesn't. It's the only time it feels like you're facing _the character_ and not the player. Like, even the annoying top tiers have ways you can interact with their offense. Is Bison abusing scissors? DI his ass. Is Akuma doing air fireball too often? Neutral drive rush can both start pressure against him AND go under the fireball which nets you a beefy punish counter. Meanwhile Honda is either PP or back jump MK for most of what he does. It's unsatisfying to win and frustrating to lose because you're playing a Simon Says with very little mind games or back and forth between offensive structures.
Hearing Brian F talk about DBFZ is really cool to me. I personally really REALLY like the state the game is in right now. The top tiers aren't absolutely dominating everything, some more strangely-designed characters got reworks and buffs, and all sorts of goofy stuff was added in the latest patch that makes it a blast for me. I really don't wanna have to PAY for more dragon ball dlc, but I'm hoping a dbfz 2 comes out one of these days, and Brian F has fun with it.
This tournament was by far one of the best SF6 tournaments, the level of play was super high. Crazy how providing more incentives for players from better regions to attend international tournaments leads to better competition and entertainment
Neutral is largely the same as previous games minus risk of DI but there are a lot more forced RPS situations and the RPS loops 90% of the time until the defender wins one.
it's RPS just like all the other titles, the issue is mostly that there are tools that are high risk high reward, like drive rush in neutral, perfect parry on minus frames, button into DI in the corner if you wanna understand more you can check out IDom or AutoMattock, they're very open about how that isn't the best for competition
@@Dhampire1976 tell me you didn’t play SF6 Season 1 without telling me.. you blind or you don’t see Kawano just pressing that button over and over and over the same way Luke Players did in Season 1? 😂
idk why brian isn’t a commentator? he helps me understand what’s going on. Very informative commentary 🤙🏼🫶🏼
Brian is too player biased. Capcom doesn't need that.

Its so funny seeing Brian talk about his dislike of Honda but in the Slam he was trying to get his team to play Honda. You love to see it.

Nephew was a beast, he went through some real crazy competition.
Just happy to see fellow Aussies kn stream

Kawano vs Kosaku
Kawano:
EVO2022 SF5 champion
EWC2024 SF6 runner-up
CPT2023 Online Event-Japan champion
Kosaku:
Also from Japan
I was so happy to see Nephew going to Capcom Cup❤ Nephew vs PUNK Grand Finals for Capcom Cup?😂
I'd watch that.
saw people said they could occupy half of a jet haha
I can't believe people watched this and were pretty much only crying about Bison when Akuma was dominating lol.
is everything in this game technically a guessing game? even neutral?

Akuma’s MK is just as bad as Luke’s Crouching MP from Season 1🤦🏻♂️
Tell me you don't know a character without telling me 🤣🤣

That's more of an anticammy tactic than some universally abusable button. I think it would get less usage against a different character or player.
