I research things a lot, to my detriment in this case - I had already heard about the "surprise moment" before riding Verbolten. I really wish I hadn't known about it. That would have been crazy.

Im soo glad I didn’t research it on my first ride in 2022, really caught me off guard.

My dad had gone to the park the year Verbolten released and I couldn't... when I finally did and rode it he hadn't told me about the "surprising moment" and man, I was absolutely smitten.

Apollo's Chariot is definitely the weakest B&M hyper, but it's such a beautiful ride that I still enjoy it almost as much as the rest of the model.

Thank you! I love being honest and I know some people were questioning the DarKoaster placement yea it’s catered towards family the theming is just 10x amazing plus the ride experience too is awesome. I appreciate you for watching!

1 Pantheon my only complaint is the lack of theming through the que and the ride itself. I love cresting the top hat at sunset. This ride is simply amazing
2 Loch Ness Monster classic... the history... how it was all done prior to computers... I'm drooling for the update!
    3. Alpengeist (this is the BEST thrill ride on the east coast... if you want to get thrashed around this is your ride.
    4. Verbolten... I feel soo bad for the "crashed" 911 outside, plus they are getting back to the original theming... that's what makes this coaster! Plus mad respect that they include theming elements from Wolfie...
    5. Apollo's chariot It pains me that I can't rank this higher, it's a killer!
    6. Griffon (you can't beat the view from on top of the lift hill, I would rank it higher but it's the same elements before and after the brake run
    7. Darkoaster. A solid ride, great on a hot day or to get out of the rain... and I love that they pay homage to Curse of the Dark Castle... a definite improvement there
    8. Invade R. Don't let it's position on this list fool you, it's still worth the ride
    9. Grover (your not a coaster fan if you haven't ridden Grover at least once!)
    10. Tempesto... I'd rank it lower if I could. it's a clone... at BGW... that's completely unforgivable. If they threw in a switch track to get a 2nd train going that would help.

Pantheon is now my favorite coaster of all time. It has all the moments that make up my favorite coasters, but even improves upon them. Rollback, hang time inversion, and back spike are all incredible and still intense elements. I hope it wins some awards. I think BG Williamsburgh has become a stronger coaster park than my home park of SFGA, and now is the park I've visited the most only after Great Adventure. Lots of classics and a good modern collection. I would put Loch Ness much higher on my list however.

  • @Operager
    @Operager 3 месяца назад +1

BGW is one of my home parks, and here is my ranking:
1 - Pantheon (Doesn't need much of an explanation, usually considered to be the best in the park, great airtime, hangtime and forces.)
2 - Alpengeist (Underrated B&M invert. It is extremely intense, and it hauls through the first half. The cobra roll makes me grey out. Right up with Montu for the best B&M invert.)
3 - Apollo's Chariot (One of the weaker B&M hypers, but still has good floater airtime. As a wise man once said, you can never go wrong with a B&M hyper.)
4 - Griffin (One of the best dive coasters. Drop is great but ride is too short, like other B&M dives.)
5 - Verbolten (Almost put this above Griffin. Has decent forces, great theming and a good surprise element.)
6 - Loch Ness Monster (Great classic with good drops and inversions and a good helix. The rest kind of meanders around though.)
7 - InvadR (Decent GCI, not very rough and fast paced. It is sort of a family coaster though.)
8 - Tempesto (I'm not a huge fan of Sky Rocket II models. Not a bad ride though, it has decent whip and hangtime.)
9 - DarKoaster (It is marketed as a family coaster. not many forces but good theming.)
10 - Grover's Alpine Express (It's a kiddie coaster. No more explanation needed.)

    1. Pantheon - perfectly smooth and punchy, those launches are crazy
    2. Alpengeist - used to be my #1
    3. Griffon - so fun, love almost everything svout it
    4. Apollo - love the airtime, the drop is so good
    5. Lochness - a little bumpy but it’s old so I’ll allow it, they’re retracking it too
    6. Verbolten - I sadly knew about the surprise but it’s fun to bring people who don’t know
    7. DarKoaster - by no means a bad ride just there are better things
    8. Invadr - fun but a little harmful at points 😅
    9. Tempesto - I agree on the seats
    10. Grover’s (just because)

  • @hallcameron814
    @hallcameron814 4 месяца назад +1

I've been on all of them and here is how I rank them.
    1. Griffon (love the first and second drop and the airtime you get before going in to the splashdown.)
    2. Verbolten (I like the indoor section especially the part at the end (don't want to spoil it) and the drop over the Rhine River.)
    3. Alpengeist (The forces are pretty fun and one of the longer rides at the park that usually doesn't get that long of a line.)
    4. Apollo's Chariot (It has some fun airtime however it does not stack up to the other B&M hypers because it was the original, still a very fun ride however!)
    5. Pantheon (I think it is still a fun coaster, but I think it is a little overrated and I don't like it as much as the other coasters in the park.)
    6. Loch Ness Monster (The loops are very fun and is one of the smoother Arrow Loopers.)
    7. InvadR (The drop and the final turn are fun however I find it a little short and rough, even though it is only 7 years old in 2024.)
    8. Tempesto (The heartline roll at the top is fun however I hate the comfort collars and the transitions I feel are a little unpleasant.)
    9. DarKoaster (I feel Busch Gardens could have done more with this coaster and made the effects different each cycle and themed the inside a bit more. I know it was marketed as a family coaster but the tame nature of the ride just doesn't stack up for us thrill seekers, and I feel that even being tamer than a ride like InvadR I find a height requirement of 48" unnecessary. I believe it is because of the seating setup, however I feel that with that high of a height requirement not that many families with younger kids can enjoy it.)
    10. Grover's Alpine Express (This was my first coaster when I was 3 years old, I found It very fun back in the early 2010's but as I grew older it seems it doesn't do a lot for the thrill seekers, it is a good kiddie/family coaster however doesn't stack up to the other coasters in the park.)

Hope to see Lochness move up for you after the refresh! The new elements bring it to a whole new level. Hope they can bring that TLC to Pantheon with some added theming. That is my only downside to that coaster, though still absolutely deserves the #1 ranking.

Yea I hear that from some people too, I think because it’s a combination of the fast pace, the trains, and the laterals on the sharp turns that you experience in between the layout that make it kinda rough for some people. I respect your opinion fully though 100%.

Haven't returned for DarKoaster or refreshed Nessie, but here's my ranking: Apollo > Pantheon (Apollo is more of a complete coherent experience while Pantheon falls flat on presentation and is just a collection of great elements) > Alpie (90s B&M whip can start to be a bit much especially as I'm past 30) > Griffon (satisfying drop though short in duration) > Nessie (hopefully the new experience is smoother, but thankfully the original did not have corkscrews, Arrow always had janky entrances to corkscrews) > InvadR (solid smaller-scale woodie, though wish it had better landscaping) > Tempesto (Comfort Collars cause slow dispatches which in turn cause slow moving lines, this ride isn't worth that wait) > Verbolten (only coaster to make me vomit, too violent to be a family coaster especially with its surprise, too stop-and-go to be a good blitz coaster, show building is an eyesore inside and out) > Grover (kiddie coaster)
If the 2025 coaster actually swings, I'll consider it the replacement for the Wolf that Verbolten failed to be. I'd like to see Verbolten axed and a flying coaster in its plot.

    • @ParkVisions
      @ParkVisions  3 месяца назад +1

Definitely have some different opinions but I respect them, I love the reasoning especially for your Verbolten one I truly think it’s one of my favorites in the line-up and if you enjoyed theming I think you’ll like DarKoaster aswell it has some cool theming throughout the entrance into the queue plus it’s a cool and fun coaster. Here to say that people have told me that Nessie is smoother, I’ll be able to tell you all about the revamp experience on Thursday and later on in the year also for the project of 2025 so definitely stay tuned. I truly appreciate you for your ranking and for watching!

@@ParkVisions If nothing else, Verbolten makes a great first impression. It's so fast in the dark that the sparse theming isn't something I picked apart on my first few rides, and the ending of the show building was the first of its kind in the Americas. It's only after subsequent rides on it that I noticed its flaws. I admire its ambition, even if I found its execution flawed and would rather ride BGW's other coasters over it.

I disagree, I think it is underrated. It is a top 2 invert for me, and I think it needs more attention for it's intensity

Definitely a different list but I respect it I know a lot of people enjoy Griffon in the park it’s very different and fun from the other coasters in the park. I really like the Verbolten and DarKoaster placement!
