Sometimes a contact lens can get stuck under the lid and almost behind the eyeball.

I got a contact completely behind my eye once. My mom didn't believe me, because she used to work in an optometrist office and has never seen that. She watched me get it out. It was indeed behind my eyeball.

@@ravindratamang1535It's not really behind the eyeball. It's stuck above, there's a pocket between the upper eyelid and the eyeball. It's all up in there. There's a YT short where they removed I think 20 lenses from one eye.

Fun fact, when i was younger i hated my glasses so much that i wore my contacts 24/7. One fell out while i was sleeping, i didnt know that and for hours i was trying to remove it.
I was pulling my eye out that whole time.
I rarely wear contacts now, especially to sleep.
