The sound really isn't that great even if it's pretty loud. It's rather muted and stifled, like many McLarens.
@@TheBowerbird Sounds like Kate Moss soiling herself before her last breath {like all cars now). There is no tone nor excitment under load, just snaps, crackles and pop's on the downshift. That for me, does not make a car.
My car sounds way better at a much cheaper price.

While I like to see the continuing evolution... Great review. I'm sure there are a dozen or more takes in this car released today. This told me everything I needed to know - what it actually feels like. No 0 to 60 stats will ever compete with 'This Is Awesome!'

I live in Arizona and thought I knew all the good driving roads, but these don't look familiar. AMP is a fun track and watching the parade of F35s is great. But if you could list some of the roads they sent you on, I would love to explore them. Thanks, James for the great content.

In been in the 600LT coupe a couple of times now and I’ve been in lambos, mclarens and Ferrari’s but never had a smile as big as when I’ve been in the 600LTs. It’s not the fastest car but it felt incredible! Playful, quick and that sound!!

It's all well and good saying the 600LT is awesome and in a separate video(s) saying the GT3 is awesome but what are the differences in terms of goosebumps? The stuff we can't see on the spec sheets. It sounds terrific! I remember feeling a little disappointed when you bought the 675LT Coupe instead of the Spider because you had so much fun in the convertible. I could be wrong but you need a convertible in your life :-)

Enjoyed the video, as usual. Love the Classic Series. Great car here, it just doesn't look that great. McLaren needs to step up it's game in the styling department. It can't complete in that area, for me anyway.

It would certainly be my pick if I had the money, seems like a blast. We know Shmee's been loving his 675LT Spider, but I'm truly loving the 600LT-vibe here.
Wouldn't mind having an Aston Martin Vanquish S Volante (until the DBS-derived version comes out) with this weekend toy.
Wish Maserati would update their rides, they're feeling kinda stale now. Nicely updated GranCabrio MC... I mean, yes please!
That back window should become a standard option on alot of vehicles its not currently available on. Sound!!! Cars can be fast, take turns like they are on rails, look amazing. But if they can't sing to you... Cars move you, music moves the soul. Had alot of nice cars (nothing like this level) within my means. But the only ones I miss or regret selling/trading sounded awesome. lol, some of them were not that good really, but the sound made up for everything, at least to me.
Have you thought about checking out someone like Hennessey's McLaren upgraded cars? Or any of the other upgrade company vehicles. Like to see your thoughts on their 700hp-800hp-1000hp upgrades for assorted McLarens, the 600LT being one of them. Heh, even the Senna.
All that sand on the roads... Hope they double or even triple PPF'ed the journalist test cars. Or there were be a bunch of cars either discounted or going in for resprays.
I'd like to see the ultimate road/offroad vehicle with a bike rack on your way to a DH bike park while playing Iron Maiden. MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
