hey guys!! Fitz is officially in brumation, it has taken full effect. Not sure when she's supposed to be getting up, but I'm going to let her do that on her own! anyway, I hope you all enjoyed this video of me sharing my experience with Fitz's brumation and how I care for her while she's asleep! see you in the next video! :)

Just keep your temps around 110-113 and most won't go into brumation

@@Lealz3 yep, only reason a dragon would go into brumation is if temps are getting too low, and in Australia most don't go into brumation. As long as you're giving your dragon a great sleeping pattern of 12 or 13 hours they'll be fine
Thunder Up 405 so for example in California the temps in winter are around 50-60 my beardie won’t be in brumation for long?
Brumation freaked me out because mine was not really at the age it normally happens but he was sleeping for a couple months mostly and then he finally went back to normal lol

Hey, your videos have been really cool and helpful. I just got my bearded dragon in August. He was VERY tiny, but bright 🌞 orange and tan compared to the rest.(they were just grey) The owner gave me a discount because he was barely noticeable. I named my b.d Mouse because he was the smallest one in the tank of 7! Now he's getting big and looking real sharp literally! Lol
Cool blanket! Don’t worry, 3 weeks to 5 mos of brumation is normal! I also check my scale baby on a daily basis, but as long as you have a heat emitter in case it’s below 65 degrees, you’re fine! Best thing you can do is leave them alone!! Since this is her first brumation, she may lay some infertile eggs this Spring! ❤️😊

In the wild they will bury themselves in the cold sand until it gets warmer to wake up. Its how their instincts take affect
Love your videos and they inspired me to ask for a bearded dragon for Christmas and I got a baby one can’t wait until he grows up like Fitz and I can use some of your hacks from other videos 😁😁

My bearded dragon Fitz (I discovered you after I named her) started brumation early in December. She just woke up yesterday and is very active and healthy. This is the first time I have experienced this and it was scary
I’m struggling so much with substrate right now. I live in the U.K. and it’s hard to get good substrate out here. I can’t get tile because all the hardware stores are closed due to the virus, and the really nice zen mat won’t ship to the U.K. 😩. Every pet store is like: calcium sand. I won’t do that because he eats it. So I’m stuck with trash reptile carpet... it really sucks.
On the bright side my bearded dragon just woke up from brumation and for the first time ever is enthusiastic about eating veggies. Which is great because he literally refused to eat them before. Hope your doing ok Taylor!

Get a self timer so to the light turns on by itself and turns off by itself have the light turn of before you leave school so he wakes up and you can feed him and then feed him about a hour before his light goes out well that’s what I have heard I would definitely do more research if I were you I’m looking into getting one myself and I have been looking into that stuff

my beardie is still hasn’t gone into brumation, but i just switched her to terra sahara substrate by the bio dude. she has never been in a dirt type enclosure; i have always had a mat. she is now digging like crazy. i know bearded dragons have a digging instinct, but i don’t know if she’s digging too much. if you, or anyone has any advice please let me know:)

I heard it’s okay to wake them up to try and feed them. That’s what I found based on my research online
You’re also good. I just read that it can be a few weeks at least and more often than not three months plus. So anytime now!
Feeding during brumation is very dangerous. While brumating, their bodies are nearly completely shut down; this means any food will sit there and rot.
You should never wake them up, unless your house is on fire
Hi your videos are really helpful and I was wondering something. I have a juvenile beardie named Beanz and he/she (can’t tell because their too young) was shedding and their back shed came off and I cleaned it. But their shed on their face is still there. Will he/she get it off themselves or what should I do?

My beardie temp it on 50 which says ok in blue and under says 80 so that's right right??? The actual temp is 80+ and like the sunlight is 50 I think
I have a problem with my bearded dragón is aggressive and biting
To get her out of brumation give her warm baths every other day for 5 minutes and put her on the basking side too dry off and place a salad in the tank, she might try to go back in her hide to sleep again but keep giving her baths every other day until she comes out of it.
Hey!! I have a question. my friend has a leopard gecko with a severe case of MBD and cannot even walk right. He also has stuck shed, she hasn't cleaned his tank since she got him, and often is too lazy to feed him. (He also doesn't get any calcium). She did no research and didn't even know what a leopard gecko was. I showed her a pic and she thought they were cute, so she bought one. I am aware that the geckos life will be cut very short, but I want to do the most I possibly can. They only thing is, she won't admit that he is sick. She also won't admit that she has done anything wrong. My parents have given me permission to bring him into our house, but I don't think she would give him up because that means she would have to admit to the neglect. What do you suggest I do?

Question I'm a new beardie owner so I no nothing about brumation just hearing about it. But mine is a rescue and shes already around 6 years old. My question is will she do this or not and do they only do this if u let their temps drop in tank?
Honestly bearded dragons decide themselves whether they go in brumation or not. There are some that never brumate and some that do it every year. Mine does it every year and he can't give a shit less what the temperatures are in his enclosure. I do turn off the lamps as soon as he gets under his rock and digs himself in

So.... last night my Bearded dragon Milo bit my African toad and this morning I found him very sick 😢 and I was doing Walk therapy I didn't he was fighting his body and an went immediate seizure ... And it was the most terrifying thing I've ever seen in my life,😭😭 and I hope he will go back to normal so please pray for my baby boy Milo thank you for the 🙏 ....

Myilo is doing a lot better he is eating and breathing better and is walking around a little bit 😊 but the only thing we have to feed him are roaches and they have to be bred before we start feed them so don't know what feed him because Petco is closed 😞🥺🥺

No, meal worms are very fatty and can cause impaction they are ok every once and a while but I would suggest giving ur beardie mostly dubias and crikets ☺️
I’m thinking about getting a bearded dragon and i’m doing research but I seen on another bearded dragon’s youtube channel that bearded dragons don’t need water in their enclosures. Is this true?
If you live in a humid area I recommend don’t put water in the enclosure just spray water on his food they also drink in the bath but if you don’t live in a humid area a recommend putting a small amount of water in his enclosure but still spray a little pit of water on his veggies and the bath

It varies depending on your beardie! Fitz didn’t brumate until she was 3 years old!

I turn them off just to save energy. They do not need them as they will cover themselves/get under rocks or smth like that. They do not need the uvb as well they slow their metabolism down to almost nothing so they do not need anything will in that period
You should leave the lamps on
and off at night like usual
I think my baby is in brumation, but he has not pooped. i know this is not the best, but if he doesnt poop, with that hurt him terribly? I know its not ideal, but he has tried to poop once before and then got scared and never pooped since and not he is sleeping. :/ any advise?
Give him a slightly warm "bath"
You can also try to message their belly while being in the bath
