hey I'm learning tabla for about 9 years now and lemme tell you it's the best thing to zone out and to make for a very good hobby! it might be sloppy at first but it needs consistency fs.
2:32, no wonder the songs turned out great. Its R.D. Burman’s music. The man was a legendary music composer of the golden era bollywood. He is the reason why old Bollywood songs are considered as some of the best indian songs of all time.
The Indian Sample from Timbo on "Put you on the game" is crazy ear candy. Basically the melody Metro Boomin did now 20 years later and people go crazy...
When I started making music...I thought Timbo made everything from scratch...so I started to make everything from scratch. lol. Now I use samples along with whatever I add. Live and learn. 😎
@@NavieD The combination of samples, stems and synth sounds is an open door to make anything you want....I would say learning this way made me a way better producer. Specially since I am not musically trained. My music is way better and in some ways it's more musical. At least I think so lol...I'm a little biased obviously. 😎
The Beats of DJ Muggs//Cypress Hill are missing. He often uses indian samples in a special way. With "Elephants on Acid" there's a whole concept album with indian stoner vibes. I often wonder why muggs' beats are so rarely analyzed in beat break downs ... ✌
The very first sample that I can remember and will stay with me forever was in Paid in Full! It hooked me on the sound and India has occupied a space in my mind from that day.
don't wanna bother you, navie, but if you can recommend us some good old 00's classics like "Hold You Down" or "Give It To Me" i would appreciate it very much, at least some artists
But if everybody is sampling from youtube, isnt the quality going down in general? I know it´s better to have the orginal sample quality and all but it´s not always to find or buy. Than youtube is a good option, but I only use youtube for vocals that I can´t find or buy. Great vid btw, always cool to see what artsist´s used for sampling. Producers of N.E.R.D did it even more simple, they just use complete presets to make some of the most iconic beats of the Neptunes, N.E.R.D etc
I’m curious. On the beat you made; is the slide note on the end of each note to cutoff the sample playing? Is there a reason you would use that instead of envelope control?
thats called songwriting and producing. you might not be playing instruments, but you are producing the sounds and writing a song in arranging the sounds.

Indian samples and instruments are great in the mix, love using tabla in Jungle and D&B tracks.
I dig it!
I need to learn tabla, I play drums and make beats but I'm Bengali and should learn tabla

Indian music is seriously underrated. They are pulling from thousands of years of culture and it shows.
They get inspire from European music and add indian instruments . Now it gets copied by rappers.
Not true @@TheAshuV

U meant Indian sample. Cause Bollywood is just one of the industry in india which is northern part and the samples are from multiple industries

R. D Burman was my dad's favorite music producer, 2 out 4 beats in this vids are his. He was one of the greatest
there's a lot of Indian sampling in western music i keep discovering new songs with Indian samples every other day.

Still looking for the sample Raja Kumari used on Shook🤙🏾
Great video, your beat was fire!
Great stuff man
Great breakdown brother, keep up the good work.
Wow. Never seen such an in depth analysis. I was expecting it would be one of those list of Indian music that were sampled.
DAMN SERATO GOT A DOPE PITCH CONTROL
I have to mention (versus wyd - Flipping a Rare Vintage Indian Sample) I really liked how the beat turned out. 👍
Timba‘s production are BEEEYYOOND!!
Bollywood music makes for great hip hop...boom bap and hindi music go hamd in hand....hindi prog rock is so dope!
Indian music is crazy. I've been exposed to it when i was 13 and as an Italian I loved it ❤
What's ur fav song? Mine is 'Raftarein' (from movie Ra.one)
The samples are so unique and unexpected
DJ Quik did it best with So Contagious using the Monsoon Wedding sample. Even tho it’s an r&b beat he killed it
Yeep that's the beat I allude to at the end
you fr one of my favorites to watch to learn and gain inspiration
