    I wonder what old AW would have made of drone footage. I have a feeling that he wouldn’t have been impressed. I never met him but know someone who did on several occasions as he worked for Wainwright’s publishers. Apparently AW, as her preferred to be known, was a bit of a curmudgeonly old boy, who generally didn’t even acknowledge fellow fell walkers. I think you made the right choice at the end.

      🤣 I once read he didn't even like it being called hiking, he preferred ambling so he'd probably be horrified by the drones noise, once it's up far enough though you can't hear it, everyone I meet out hiking loves it and asks to see the footage so that's nice ☺️

      Typical British weather, unfortunately it means I can't record with the drone which is a big part of why I go in the first place
