initially the port number it was connected to was 80 which was probably in use by some other process. So, we simply changed the port number to 8080. Same with 443.
if you click on the top config, (one on the top right) it will open a window, inside that window there's a button that says service and port settings, you can adjust the numbers from there, save and it's quicker than filtering through the files

I found peace, joy, enlightenment, and satisfaction in God. I have realized that I was suppressing the truth all my life as an atheist and before as a Catholic. I convinced myself that there’s no God so I could continue living the way I want without a troubled conscience. Atheists won’t admit this, but it’s the truth. This is the story of all Christians who were atheists before. But God is merciful. He showed me the truth one day while thinking about a philosophical topic. He caused me to repent and be born again. My fellow human being, I urge you to repent. Life is not just working 8 hours a day, doing your hobbies in your spare time, hoping to retire early and enjoy all the free time until you die. We are God’s creation. We’re made to delight in him and worship him. But we don’t do that because we don’t have a right relationship with him. But he’s given us a way to fix that relationship - Jesus. Please, whoever you are, humble yourself before God, repent, and do his will. Life is short. Continue for result: After you enter the new ports (8080 and 4343) into the config files you must: 1. press the button in the top right corner "Config" (below it is the button "Netstat") 2. the configuration window will open, where you will see 4 buttons at the bottom, just above the "Abort" and "Save" buttons 3. you click on the second button "Services and port Settings" 4. a new window will open where you will change the old port values to the new ones, i.e. from 80 to 8080 for the Main Port and from 443 to 4343 for the SSL port 5. save the change 6. Then you go back to the Xampp control panel 7. in the leftmost column "Service" under the heading "Modules", you click on the green boxes ("Apache" 8. a window will pop up asking you if you want to uninstall the module. 9. Confirm and uninstall the module 10. when you see a red cross in the box, start the module via the "Start" button for the Apache module ----- This worked for me, good luck to everyone, maybe this will help
