@@juangal7569 wrong it is ghetto I'm from Arlington tx we do have minor gang and violence here. Not as bad as Fort worth or Dallas but we are right behind them in crime rates and taxes is expensive here. Unless you make 70k a year you'll struggle on rent or mortgage payments I lived here and I'm from here.
Samaiyah Amara Dallas is More Liberal, while Arlington is highly Conservative. I lived in Arlington because I’m a Mexican, Christian, Conservative. It was perfect for me. But you choose what is the best for you, what suits you.👍🏼
@@samaiyahamara6182 I'm a Liberal, Catholic Mexican aquí. Come to Arlington, we actually lean liberal here. Democrats have been winning a lot more in city council meetings, we recently voted towards raising our sales tax to provide an annual 56 million competitive pay raise to AISD teachers! Moreover, we're significantly more affordable and less crime than Dallas. Moreover, if you're 50+ years of age, I recommend Dalworthington Gardens, Pantego and zip code 76012 in Arlington for a more middle-age friendly environment.
Planing on moving possibly at the end of the year. I’m a disabled veteran , I see that Texas gives a full property tax exemption. Can you confirm that ? Or does it vary by city ?
Yes, the amount given is determined by the percentage of disability. So yes, if 100% disabled, then 100% property tax exemption. That's amazing and well deserved. I'm proud that our state honors our veterans. Here's more info bit.ly/2Hq9W5Q

Hello Dana. We have been looking for a house in Texas for months. We are currently in LA. Then we found your channel which is so helpful. We have learned a lot from your videos. But we are very confused about property taxes in Texas. So house we saw has a huge drop on 2019 pp taxes. Could please explain a little. Thank you so much
Thanks Dana! My wife and I are looking forward to meeting you in the next year or so to make the Exodus from California! Would love to see a video on Flower Mound, Double Oak, Highland Village (new and old), etc. We just had family move there and would love to learn more about the area! Thanks again for all of the great content on your channel!

Nadia yes you can buy a condo in Dallas. they start around $50k for a little 500 SF and go all the way up to $10M 😃 so whatever you’re looking for Dallas has them.
I really have a feeling that Texas gets a different image in the media, but from everything I'm investigating, this is the true midwest right here. They often call MI or WI the midwest but I consider this the true midwest if you want my opinion with some south, but not even detecting a ton of that really like confederate flags but still haven't done all my homework yet. I'm not against that though. If people fly confederate flags, I'm not offended. It just seems more like what the real midwest should be over around Dallas. Prices at least in Arlington seem like its for all income brackets, much income diversity and not class segregation. I LIKE THAT.
Texas is part of the South and Southwest. Not Midwest. Arlington is mainly a blue collar suburb. Garland and Mesquite are other similar places to Arlington and they were also built around the same time, 1970s-1990s.

Hey Dana, thanks for making these videos! They’ve been super helpful as we consider where in the Metroplex we want to land after moving here from South Carolina. We really like what we’ve seen of Viridian in Arlington. Do you have any thoughts on the community? Most of what I’ve read that’s negative is proximity to the landfill, but that doesn’t really bother us and the neighborhood otherwise seems awesome.
Michael Green the neighborhood is beautiful!! I have someone building there right now. The landfill is not really deterring people. It’s one of the hottest communities right now. Mainly because they just did the community so well and the location is close to both Dallas and Fort Worth. I wouldn’t hesitate moving there! It is funny with the landfill and even strip clubs down the street. But this little pocket is creating their own really nice community. Let me know what I can help with.
Hi Dana, recently watching your videos and in love with the contents. I am planning to invest in austin texas. Can you help me? I am trying to fill up the form on your channel but seems like its got a problem cannot proceed smoothly. Thanks.
Oh man so sorry for the difficulties. If you want to email me I can let my investor agent know to reach out 👍 please just put in the email that the questionnaire was not working for some reason. Thanks so much!
I am moving to Texas next month, I will live in Dallas the first month in an airbnb but the plan is to find the permanent place outside of Dallas. I want outdoor activities, parks, lakes, bike trails, etc. Do you suggest a city? Also I would like to be no more than 2 hours away from Dallas because even though I work from home, I do have a main office there.
Congrats! I like Grapevine Lake, Lewisville Lake, and Eagle Mountain Lake has a few things. Those are the lakes I recommend in the DFW area. Once outside the suburbs, I'm not as much of a specialist. And I do like Lake Whitney from the Brazos River. So anywhere around those areas would be pretty good.
Good to see a good video without all the RACIST, violence ....I have relatives there but I am a very small town living person...Traffic makes me nerves..😀😀😀🖐🏽🖐🏽🖐🏽
Arlington is paradise compared to New Orleans. I lived in the New Orleans area for 33 years. It was like living in Beirut. I love Arlington for its diversity and entertainment. I have been shown numerous spots where some of the DFW residents considers to be high risk dangerous areas, it was comical to me. The whole metropolitan is Beverly Hills in my eyes.

Don't move here. Arlington is building too many apartments. They put a moratorium on building apartments but reneged on that. Traffic is crap. I live 8 miles from home to work and it's a 30 minutes drive. Restaurants are corporate. Crime is rampant and cops are going to ticket you. No matter what. Property taxes are too high. School zones are on every street. Trucks on every street. Semis are everywhere She is wrong about the pros. Forget football. Baseball and football traffic is hours of going nowhere. And the train makes you late for everywhere
Wat the hell are you talking about. I drive all the time cops never stopped me in 5 years. Traffic there is only at certain times and it's mostly on the main streets like Cooper and Collins. If you don't want to be stuck in the stadium Traffic then go around take the side roads like center. The train hasn't stop me either the last time I was stopped by the train was 2 years ago. So idk what your talking about maybe you just have bad luck or bad decision making skills.
