All these comments, and I haven't found one yet that mentions "Pusher" was written by none other than VINCE GILLIGAN: The same man who created Walter White and Saul Goodman. Keep those 2 characters in mind as you watch Modell in action in this episode, and you might notice similar psychological elements at work among them all.
Season 3 leads to the sadness that is season 4. Although season 4 has some of the best shipper moments of the series. You're right about the writers. Honestly how do they expect us not to ship when they write things like that? It reminds me of the whole Tunguska/Terma arc where Scully is held for contempt. People generally only do that for people they're in love with because there ain't no way I'm getting arrested for anyone else.

I'm actually happy that they went the route of making it take for ever for mulder and scully to even remotely become romantic. I feel like it made it that much more amazing every time they held hands or there was a look or something. I feel like if they had just put them together and the 1st season it wouldn't have been as intense.
Hell yeah, the relationship build-up was gold, frustrating (angst is a polite word). Every look, every touch, every lip bite, side glance, and mumble was magic.
One of my all-time favorite episodes and the follow-up episode with his sister is great as well. I loved this episode because of the scene with Mulder handing Scully the gun and the standoff.
Kudos Candace for mentioning Scully's 1950's "Bombshell" look. So many through the years but, her hair in the early years was gold. She had a great wardrobe and yes that Cranberry suit was one of the best!

If you want someone to understand how awesome the x files was, This is the episode you should show them... pusher is easyly THE best stand alone episode of the whole show... it has everything great acting great villan great mulder and scully moments, and lowkey you can see how Vince Gilligan begins to shape his style in the show and for the future amazing breaking bad. Yep i love pusher! After this episode Vince became my favorite writer of thr x files crew...
I agree. Robert Wisden who plays Pusher is incredible and there is no better episode to show the MSR that is growing. One of my favorite episodes next to Memento Mori.(which Vince Giiligan co-wrote)

Damn...I forgot about Paper Hearts. Another great episode from the 4th season. I always felt in my heart that this was a very plausible explanation for Samantha. It would have been so much better if her death had been traced back to this episode instead of CC’s version. Also, I hate to admit I’ve never seen Breaking Bad. I know Gillian directed S6e3 Drive which had Bryan Cranston (who I loved in a Malcom in the Middle.) and just recently realized he was involved in Bad. I just didn’t have cable when it aired so its on my list of series to watch from beginning to end.
This is one of my favorite X-Files episodes. I especially loved it when Skinner remarked "Are you telling me this mysterious phenomenon is why I now have a size-7 heel mark on my face?!" after getting kicked by Holly and when Scully yelled at Modell "NO! D--- YOU, YOU B---ARD!!" when Mulder first fired the trigger. Gillian was certainly top notch with her looks and acting on this one.
The scenes where they wire up Mulder and Scully has this worried look in her face, reminds me of the scenes of "Speed", when Jack (Keanu Reeves) has to go down the bus...Sandra Bullock's character has also this worried look...and then they look at each other, just like Mulder and Scully do when he gives her his gun 😍😍 ...is it just me??
Could have should have and one day will be made into a series like 'the fugitive'; with a three movie spin off and cinematic immortality for the pusher character.
That scene where mulder's at the gun range, blasting bullets, to me it was mulders anger n frustration he had to get rid of somhow. The anger of having that man doing so much harm in/to others right in front of them! And he got away. Maybe Mulder took that frustration and shot a few rounds to channel it out.. Hehe Dunno but thats just how i interpret it 😉
Why do the Twins pupils not expand when they pushed people ,like Mad Hatter and Kira and other pushers??? I love Modell's two episodes.:-)They're my favorites.
I rebinged the show (again) and can never understand how Mulder (with his pseudo-psychic high level intellect) didn't come up with measures to deter Modell/Linda Bowman's "Prof.X-level mind control". It's implied that it's audio-hypnosis, why Mulder didn't use voice scrambler or some hi-tech earplug to filter pusher's frequency. I know we're supposed to suspend disbelief but given Mulder's character and out-of-the box yet always accurate deduction he could've done better. Pusher must speak to affect his/her victims. Their voice, not necessarily a comprehendible sentence as long as pusher makes a sound it'll show effects, must be heard by victim to give effect, shown by the therapist electrocute herself from phone call by Linda, and Mulder mistaken Linda as Scully just by calling his name. I hope fellow TXF fans who dig the show the way I do can share some thoughts.
I feel you on the writers they played us too long with this sh*t tho and IMO in later seasons wrecked what should have been this epic intense love with their bs. I can't forgive Chris Carter.

Supernatural copied it in its season 2. Actually they copied Bad Blood for the 2 versions of the story and the fact that's it's 1 funny episode. They also copied Demons, Ice,.. but can we say copy when John Shiban, Kim Manners and also McG are producers on it? Do you watch Supernatural? I've rewatched Pusher then Kitsunegari and in the 2nd one Mulder is rude to Scully at a moment and I hate when he does that. What do you think about Kitsunegari? To me it's not as good as Pusher
