@@DlZZEE the B series 1.9 tdi wasn't so clever, especially the BXE 105bhp. Seen a few with the rod through the block. The older A series 90,115,130, were bomb proof

No. A motorcycle is the best ever feeling you could have on the roads! Convertible is a hairdresser car, plus stuck in the queues like everyone else. 🤡

Back in my day a 'banger' was a vehicle that the door could potentially fall off when you went to refuel! This is modern luxurious German technology! The number plate means nothing, the new ones are just the same but dressed slightly differently and cost 20x what this is worth!

I'd rather purchase a car with curbed rims nowadays,the roads are all shot to bits with potholes and speed ramps, impossible to keep wheels unmarked on a daily car especially in London where some of the curbs are like a foot tall,you soon get sick of fannying about trying not to touch them!
The amount of work, effort and honesty this brother put's into his videos is unbelievable and underrated. Deserves so much more subscribers also the free advice calvin gives to everyone is unreal all i can say and wish is please get him to 500,000 subscribers or if that's to much then atleast 250,000 in the next couple months. My thoughts exactly. I have a 99 A4 2.8 quattro in excellent condition. LoL rims curbed I bought it that way. And I feel pretty lucky to have it. I'm by far not rich and Audrie has been good to me she's no way a cheap ride. ❣️❣️

Great video again, I do think calling the audi banger off the week gives that audi any justice, should be budget car off the week , to me a banger of the week is a car worth nomore than a few hundred quid that you hope will last you 6 months and you can right off the cost when it finally gives up the ghost 😉
You made a similar comment l made earlier. This Audu A4 should not be classified as a banger. A car worth 1,700 to 2,000 is not a banger.
I was expecting the banger of the week to be something like an old Nissan Cherry or old Honda Accord This Audit is too lovely to be s banger. I will happily drive it for my daily use.
The lump on the dash is where the airbag is situated and over time the sun has weekend the dash and exposed the area.

I have to agree with Calvin when you spend a lot of money on a car you don’t really want to drive it or park it because of other people not having a care for you car. It’s different when you drive a car that’s paid for in full and it doesn’t owe you any money. I used to own a 2006 Audi A4 Avant. Same engine as the one in the video. I sold it at 236k back in 2017. Such a reliable car! One car that I still miss!
I had a 2004 B6 A4 Sline 1.8T 190 in misano red pearl, I think this was the first sline made? Great car for its time. Great vids Calv!!!!✌🏼

Mate I own one ☝️ of these and it’s great !! Mine is currently doing hundred & 60,000 !!!! Miles And drives like new !! Obviously been well maintained!! 1.8 T previous owner Remapp now it’s 196bhp!!! Love ❤️ it!! , I’ve had people stop and literally look 👀 at it maybe bcos it sitting on 19’s with out a single mark on the body!! 🥳

Many years ago I had a b7 A4 saloon S Line with the same engine. It was a brilliant car day to day and still one of my favourite to look at. But a bit soulless. Coming from BMWs it didn’t drive as well but the fuel economy and looks still have me looking back fondly on it. Great car.
Brought one of these 3 years ago for £2000, never gone wrong, used as a 2nd car now and probably get more for it than I paid

Cracking video Calvin , still love the B7 A4 Shape , so handsome , promised myself a 2.0 TDi S-Line 170 diesel saloon back in the day but ended up sticking to my roots and going competly the other way and bought a 2008 Focus ST !

My old man had an 08 reg ford mondeo tdci for a few years. He sold it real cheap in 2016 with about 420,000 miles original engine. I just reg checked it & it failed an mot for minor issues 10 days ago with 449,000 miles on the clock
Love seeing high mileage hero’s, 233k is nothing for these engines when well maintained, would prefer the V6 diesel though😍
i had a b8 Audi a4 i regreted selling it ever since. Nothing beats a 2.0 Tdi 140 bhp it was reliable, economic and punchy for a first car. Sold it at 258 000 km on the dial for 6000 euro in Slovenia
Have a b8 Avant 2011 2.0TDI with multitronic at 111k miles. Transmission does concern me as it's very costly to fix/replace and read that it's unreliable. However, spoke to my Audi specialist mechanic and he said the later ones are fine, earlier ones gave problems. And.if they do go wrong it's often fixable and not a replacement job. Plenty on Auto trader with over 200k miles.

Why on earth would someone go from a 62 plate c max to an 07 plate audi with over 200k on the clock ??
Was thinking the same thing short term gain for long term pain.
Because some people believe driving a Audi or anything German makes them appear more sophisticated. If that's the correct word. If that car had a different badge nobody would touch it with a barge pole.
It might be hard times and they needed a bit of money out of the C max but still needed some cheaper transport

These things go to the moon back, i had one of these audi a4 over 300kmileage I’d guess if its been looked after then they’ll run forever
2007/2008 face lift last editions, Audi released the A5 convertible but discontinuing the A4 convertible was a mistake, lots of people absolutely loved them, I considered a late model myself but opted for the much better in my opinion E46 M sport convertible

No model inscription is the A4 BADGE AND TDI badge. They only had badges on the wings, anything extra was after market

While minor stuff breaks they are good for high mileage. Sold mine after 5 years at 100K miles having never let me down. E46 M3 that replaced it was on a flat bed in a month with a dead key 🤣
What's the highest mileage you've had on a piece of stock?
I’m not too sure. If anyone has a super high mileage car they’re selling though I’ll buy it for a laugh.

Used to have an 06 plate B7 avant, s line special edition and Quattro, bought on 197k with two owners for £1200, until you heard it run you'd never tell 😂 used to be built well these
2.0 Tdi suffers fuel pump failure the 1.9 is the one to go for.
@@mbourne2729 mine was a 2.0tfsi, ironically still suffered oil pump failure. Got a 1.9tdi Skoda now on 110k so plenty more miles to go

I wouldn't classify it as a banger lol, I have a saab 9-3 that I paid £300, went through mot test in a first go and I spent less than £200 on it on its maintenance in two years and it doesn't give any problems yet whatsoever, start loving my banger how good it serves me 😂

Is it me or is it that most new Audi build quality has gone down hill suddenly? Newer Audi’s aren’t built to last like the older Audi’s
VAG are cutting corners after the whole diesel gate thing Haha.
It's case with most cars these days. I still daily a 97 E36 328i and it still looks half decent and pulls like a train. Doubt anyone would be able to do the same in 2045 with a current model 3 series.
Cars of that age always have turbo lag as technology has moved in at a great price in the design of turbos.
Taxi drivers regularly run Vag group vw/audi/skoda's up to 500k.... Providing they're kept cooled and oiled and treated with some respect...they'll go on and on... A sporty beater with a heater.

Biggest problem with lots of VAG vehicles of this age and especially the Audis if you live in london then their oil burning tdi’s simply don’t pass the ulez
