It reminds me of something they've done before. A bit of "I want out" Kai did with Helloween (riff), a bit of "Rich and Famous", the start of the song (bonus from Powerplant). Also as someone mentioned "Send me a sign". This is an impression I get with this whole album. Like they took a lot of elements of their previous work and sewed it together in a bit different configuration.
Man I dont know how I should feel at this point, I've listen so much to LoTF2, and kinda forgot to check after the band since now, and it sound like this song could be in every one of their most recent albums since some parts sound alike...
Finally, no more "happy power metal" from Gamma Ray. This album is more harsh than their last records and there's much more hard-rock spirit. Certainly it will be my favorite Gamma Ray album, apart from Somewhere Out In Space" Great stuff!
TheDoomerBlox It is, considering the fact that I Want Out is no Gamma Ray song :) I know, the relation between the two bands can not be ignored, but anyway...
Honeslty, hearing you guys now, I begin to perceive (I actually did already) that Zimmerman was the base of noise you had in your songs in the previous albums. After New World order, the double bass drums have been unbearable. I'm sure many fans and supporters will agree.
German Metal is unleashed! Gamma, Running Wild, Accept, Primal Fear - their last albums are just great!
Gammaray is amazing! I love it! yeah!

It's a mishmash of various passages from a lot of their songs.
Confusing, isn't it?

SomethinWild I Want Out is not Gamma Ray song per se, but it was written by Kai Hansen. So, there you go :-)

PS: The riff of this song is Send me a sign slightly changed, but getting there.
