So I bought a copy of “And They Walked Away” in 1989. I was always so confused when they had been showing cup cars at Riverside then suddenly showed Camaros. I had no idea what series they were from…Until now!!
This was the era when USA Network was the equal of ESPN & WTBS Superstation in terms of sports and auto racing coverage.
wishing riverside international raceway was still here
💯
For it being this old you have uploaded a great quality video! It looks good even on my 52 inch tv
I didn’t know Phil Parsons was doing commentary that far back. He was still an active driver back then.
Oh yeah. He always did both goes back to Benny starting in TV in the late 80s…The most articulate drivers back then were the Parson’s, The Bodine’s, The Waltrip’s , and the late Tim Richmond. TV and Radio loved the input of the driver’s who knew the present day cars.
Young Rick Ware looks just like Cody
Is that the same Rick Ware as today's Rick Ware?
@@tainvestor yes

Roger's brother.
did anyone get the camera?
I just called the 800 number to get the autoweek magazine subscription. No answer
I hope I still have time to get that 35mm camera!
1 year warranty has prolly expired beware! Send in the money and let us know how it works out!
very choppy broadcast, ie near the end Krebs is the leader and then one car passes and now he's third. But in that era you're lucky to get anything.
This was televised *4 MONTHS* after the race was originally held??? Hope ESPN Speedweek and WTBS Motorweek Illustared didn't ruin the winner by the time this aired! 😁😁😁😁😁
I’ve worn glasses since I was a young boy! Perhaps I should see the faith healer to improve my vision! Lasek is expensive
please upload the lost broadcast of 1964 world 600
