I don't want anyone to take this the wrong way; I just want to give a little advice to any low elo player that might read this including QT. Always focusing the adc can be a bad habit especially in lane phase and assuming your teammate is always wrong, when you have a different idea is a great way to never improve. Reasons to focus someone include but are not limited to: they are closer, they are outside the minion-wave, they have low mobility, they are less tanky, they do more damage, or someone on your team is already focusing them. When you compare Senna and Tristana in lane phase -> Senna is less mobile, less tanky, was usually closer, spent more time outside the minion wave, was in Malphite's range so he could Q her, and if you include healing as a kind of reverse dps she also does more damage than Trist in the early levels. Overly simple rules like "always focus the adc" are noob traps pedaled around bronze and iron that keep players from correctly analyzing and eventually intuitively understanding situations.
That said, if you have a Malphite support neither they nor you should be looking for a fight before six anyway, because he is giga useless in terms of cc or sustained damage, and he can only bait you into a bad situation. His best hope is to act as a bouncer keeping Senna from fully zoning you off the wave, but that's mostly just an attempt at intimidation... Another piece of good advice: don't play malphite support; it loses hard to most supports when pressured at all in lane.
