I just bought this foundation and I’m soooo impressed! I always told myself I wouldn’t spend so much on a foundation because I was sure that I could find drug store foundation that was truly matte but I never found one. I wear glasses and my t zone would get so oily my glasses would slide down my nose. I tried doing the primer,powder, setting spray , then foundation and more setting spray but it didn’t work. I tried eyeshadow primer on my nose since I’m really oily there, nothing. I’ve been using this foundation alone without primer because I don’t know what primer to use with this foundation but it works fine without it. I’m trying to treat my skin better now too so I exfoliate and I’ve been using a gel moisturizer from Lancôme thats pink . Skin routine definitely has a lot to do with oily skin. I know now my skin was dry and needed some love. You do need to touch it up a bit if you don’t use a primer for the problem areas with pimples. Also I don’t apply a lot of make up on my nose just very light pats with my beauty blender. This was long but I know that there must be a females out there tired of this oily t zone shit! Girl I feel ya!
Tip... If u would mix a small amount of bare minerals rescue complexion gel in with the foundation, it looks da bomb. Also, try the J. One jellypack as a primer. I am a nurse and this combo will last for 13 hours on my oily, sweaty skin
I love this foundation! It was my holy grail until you convinced me to try the Estée Lauder one, and it was a match made in heaven ever since! I ended up missing my Lancôme foundation and the Estee one was pulling a little TOO matte on some day, so I decided to mix them! When I say that those foundations are literally made for each other!! I get the perfect shade match and satin finish of Lancôme, with the matte, bulletproof, transfer resistant features of Estée Lauder! I had on makeup for 18+ hours one day and my face looked as flawless as when I first put it on! 🙌🏾

I used the Nyx PoreFiller primer with my foundation 🙂. But for me, even without a primer the foundation sits beautifully on my skin. I do get oily but it's not like a gross oily it's more like a nice dewy glow .
Ashley try the soap and glory one heck of a blot primer. They have it at Ulta and even Target and some Walgreens now. It really helps keeping the oil at bay. Also the MAC oil control lotion is a great moisturizer before foundation and if you're cruelty free and don't use MAC dermalogica has an oil control moisturizer also that they sell at Ulta and it's amazing. It all starts with skin care. I'm learning as I go. I have struggled so much with super oily skin my whole life. I've been using the Olehenrikseb oil control cleansed and toner and the Sunday Riley Luna oil every night and it is helping so much with my oily skin. Hope that helps. I know the struggle is real.

No one's face matches their scalp because it is rarely exposed to the sun. It is actually an issue I have when I see people making their lace wig part match their face. It needs to be lighter.
It oxidised sooo bad on my skin and looked like crap after 3-4 hours. Not even the estee lauder double wear worked for me and I've tried loads. Nothing apart from maybelline fit me matte and poreless did. This one is not a 100% win but way better than all other high end ones I've tried. Crazy how products work differently for different people

I use this for my oily skin and it is my HOLY GRAIL !! May not be super full coverage but builds up beautifully without a cakey finish and still looks like skin. I wore this for 9hrs the other day and I ran out of my setting spray from UD which controls my oil BUT I had NO oil - even my nose which is the worse oil area for me. I would deffo recommend people to get a sample bc the 31 (British currency) is so worth it to me. Love your videos ❤️❤️

Just to let you guys know, I've been using that since it came out and I'm as oily as Nikkia and I love it. It definitely doesn't stay as matte as these other ones, but it's one I keep coming back to. The only big drawback for me is they have pink undertones and no yellow ones for us olive girls!
I rely on your opinions about makeup skin care etc. I consider what you do a needed service for so many of us. I know I would have spent so much more money (and wasted it) without your input. Just know, people may hate...but so many love what you do and value it. Keep it up!

Yes. I just tried this for myself and I love it. It does really well keeping my oils at bay. It's no double wear but it's very good. Also you're an amazing makeup artist and you certainly know how to match your foundation so don't listen to those other girls. They don't know what they're talking about. Yes I have oily skin and I been using this foundation since March and I honestly love it, my face makeup has improved so much using this, I use Ivory 140 and I mix it with the cover fx sunkissed enhancer drops now that I got more of a tan (which btw I can't believe people are saying you need to match your scalp and face, obviously you have to make sure your fav matches your bare arms and chest and neck or else it would look ridiculous!! Love that you called them people out on it!) I also use the veil mineral primer with this foundation and my whole face from 9am to 9pm while I get home from work still looks good, I love this foundation and it holds up well even in hot weather (used it Saturday when it was 90 and my face was sweaty but my foundation was still good) I always watch your reviews because I have oily skin so it's just nice o see that you gave the foundation I am using since March a thumbs up lol

Great review Nikkia. I have this foundation in the same shade it is the best I've tried so far, I have mature normal to dry skin. This foundation doesn't emphasise lines or pores, looks natural and lasts all day. It's replaced the GA luminous silk! Best of all it doesn't have a ridiculous price tag like a lot of other high end foundations.

I am 43 and wear this everyday. I love it. I like it better putting it on by a brush. I use the makeup forever translucent powder in a compact. Love this so much.

Honey! You have GOT to try the Urban Decay "de-slick" primer. It is bomb for oily skin and has completely replaced the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer for me. No matter that foundation I put over the top, I am still completely matte by the end of the day! 😍 xxx

Nikkia, have you ever tried the Clinique color correcting primer? I have oily skin with enlarged pores as well and this primer is my holy grail! I loved how this foundation looked on you and held up. I am wearing it today and so far so good! And girl, you're stunning! Women just love to hate on other women, sadly. If they think you should be matching your foundation to your scalp then they need some serious make up lessons!

thanks for putting the shade translation in the description bar, i think it looks great! this lancome is probably my top 3 foundations! i wear 100N (in US version) and it matches my neck, chest, and shoulders, even though my face is a tad darker. you do you lovely!

It's the only foundation that I use! I tried other foundations supposedly good for controlling oils, but everything else separates on me. It's a lighter coverage, doesn't cover spots or anything. But it makes my skin look so smooth (and mattified)! At the end of my 12 hr day, I look "glowy" at worst.

I use tretinoin and oils to help my skin balance out. tried the Clinique and it broke m e out immediately along with professional gel. I'm glad you like it, I'm currently doing a wear test. 47 bucks! fingers crossed

Yes I have oily skin and I been using this foundation since March and I honestly love it, my face makeup has improved so much using this, I use Ivory 140 and I mix it with the cover fx sunkissed enhancer drops now that I got more of a tan (which btw I can't believe people are saying you need to match your scalp and face, obviously you have to make sure your fav matches your bare arms and chest and neck or else it would look ridiculous!! Love that you called them people out on it!) I also use the veil mineral primer with this foundation and my whole face from 9am to 9pm while I get home from work still looks good, I love this foundation and it holds up well even in hot weather (used it Saturday when it was 90 and my face was sweaty but my foundation was still good) I always watch your reviews because I have oily skin so it's just nice o see that you gave the foundation I am using since March a thumbs up lol

Great review Nikkia. I have this foundation in the same shade it is the best I've tried so far, I have mature normal to dry skin. This foundation doesn't emphasise lines or pores, looks natural and lasts all day. It's replaced the GA luminous silk! Best of all it doesn't have a ridiculous price tag like a lot of other high end foundations.

I am 43 and wear this everyday. I love it. I like it better putting it on by a brush. I use the makeup forever translucent powder in a compact. Love this so much.
Girl the same thing happens to me all the time... 11:11, 1:11, 2:22, 5:55, 3:33 i thought also that it mean it something misterious, but I’ve learned that it means somebody that passed away close to you want to give you a message, that is with you. Honey! You have GOT to try the Urban Decay "de-slick" primer. It is bomb for oily skin and has completely replaced the Hourglass Mineral Veil primer for me. No matter that foundation I put over the top, I am still completely matte by the end of the day! 😍 xxx

Nikkia, have you ever tried the Clinique color correcting primer? I have oily skin with enlarged pores as well and this primer is my holy grail! I loved how this foundation looked on you and held up. I am wearing it today and so far so good! And girl, you're stunning! Women just love to hate on other women, sadly. If they think you should be matching your foundation to your scalp then they need some serious make up lessons!

thanks for putting the shade translation in the description bar, i think it looks great! this lancome is probably my top 3 foundations! i wear 100N (in US version) and it matches my neck, chest, and shoulders, even though my face is a tad darker. you do you lovely!

I've tried it, and it was actually too matte for my skin (and I have super oily skin)
It's the only foundation that I use! I tried other foundations supposedly good for controlling oils, but everything else separates on me. It's a lighter coverage, doesn't cover spots or anything. But it makes my skin look so smooth (and mattified)! At the end of my 12 hr day, I look "glowy" at worst.
pochikochickn24 Omg! I just bought this foundation with the primer... Ugh! The struggle of finding the right foundation, is so hard! I have extremely oily skin, but My skincare is on point. I use tretinoin and oils to help my skin balance out. tried the Clinique and it broke m e out immediately along with professional gel. I'm glad you like it, I'm currently doing a wear test. 47 bucks! fingers crossed
