Atlanta typically uses 3 runways for arrivals and 2 for departures if you utilize their normal pattern of interior runways for departures and outer/ the 3rd runway for arrivals it will be MUCH easier to keep things moving without getting overwhelmed. They recently opened a bypass taxiway for 9L/R to avoid the constant crossing of the runways like 8L/R has had for years now and it makes such a huge difference, It is wild to land there in real life the amount of traffic is insane both departing runways often have queues all day sometimes 20+ minutes. I do miss the early 2000s when AirTran and delta both had to share Atlanta it was a different vibe in my opinion, but at least the 717s got to say in ATL after southwest bought out AirTran. It’s going to be so odd when they are all finally gone.
Wow. You guys did great for 2 people! It’s like you need 1 person controlling arrivals on 8L/8R, 1 person controlling runways 9L/9R, and 1-2 people controlling pushbacks/taxi. Happy to join sometime haha
Congrats on number 50 chaz!! Now on to bisniess lol. i was realy looking forward to see how you would handle Atlanta. I can honestly say the minute you loadeed it up you messed up. lol. KATL ALWAYS uses ALL runways! making alll the planes go to RWY 9L was your downfall. My suggestion is split the airport in half. Great Vid Congrats again.
Hey chaz when a plane wants to cross an active runway they get handed over to tower frequency and after they've crossed they get handed over to ground frequency
I know this comment was 5 months ago, but just now seeing this video. As for your comment, not necessarily. Some airports do have that policy, but at some others, if the tower and ground controllers are within speaking distance of each other, they can just communicate to each other for crossings just like these guys did.
When using 8’s/9’s, depart outer rwys and land on inner rwys When using 26’s/27’s, depart inners and land on outers. This almost completely eliminates need to cross active runways.
In atlanta aka KATL on the north side when using the 8's or the opposite direction you can taxi them around the end of the one runway closest to the terminals without having to cross the runway. In real life this is known as taxiway victor V for victor. Not sure what it's called on your game here or on tower 3d pro but try it some time. It saves time when it gets really busy. I've actually been on a real life flight that used that very taxi way. It sort of goes down this hill and around this curve and below the flight line/level of the active departure runway. Usually the inbounds land on the outter runways and the outbounds are on the inner most closest two one on the south one on the north. Just some facts about KATL yes it gets very busy. On the south side there's a third runway way down there usually used during very busy arrival times or for extra departures as well. Literally the busiest airspace and airport on earth.
Congrats on 50 videos in this serie. Played my first MP yesterday and learned that all players have to delete a plane on their end (it should be synced I feel). Framerate was a huge problem on this airport. The game should be seriously optimised.
Please may you do multiplayer more, its really entertaining watching you be able to do full scheduals as of multiplayer. Could you do this in heathrow?
Hold ON, why the hell do we need human ground traffic control if we can handle that through an app, while main commands only Handel's emergency landing. Pan Pan and May day.
Hey man! For comfortable casual gaming I'd say the SteelSeries Arctis 7 is good, but for my broadcasting and recording I use an Audio Technica BPHS1 Broadcast Headset hooked up to a Behringer X1204USB mixer ☺️
Hey! 👋🏼 I'd definitely recommend it, yeah. Across all of my videos you'll see the competency of the voice recognition - I often speak very quickly and it picks things up perfectly 👌🏼

I know bud, thank you ☺️ We just agreed to operate this way for simplicity because it initiated a bit more communication between us to spice it up 😁
I thought you could coordinate crossings between ground and local. I feel like I've seen this discussed somewhere and it's in the .65

Wow - just am FYI
In Atlanta they land on the outside runways and depart on the inside runways.
When using 8’s/9’s, depart outer rwys and land on inner rwys
When using 26’s/27’s, depart inners and land on outers.

It took you a while to use Taxiway W (whiskey) and Taxiway V..... Have you tried to have planes landing on 8R/26L going to ramp via V?
Tower controller does not handoff a/c until they cross all active runways. Ground controller should never have to cross a/c on an active runway.
Yeah man, I know ☺️ We just wanted to spice it up a bit and provoke more communication and coordination ✌🏼
What a great video 😂😂!!
PS. Congrats on the 50 video🎉
And we thought it would never happen...
Thought I'd do something special for you all 😘
@@ChazDraycottCertainly was! 😂
Fiver lol 😂😂

you could of had used taxiway B V and it would of sent the aircraft around 8R and you didn't have to wait to cross them
Hey Chaz what headset do you recommend

Hy, I want to buy this tower sim. Do you recommend this? The first voice recognition was good? Thanks
