    Other issue that happen on most Z & G at least for my ownership experience:
    1. CSC Failure
    2. Rear axle click (annoying ASF)
    3. Steering lock module - if it fails it keeps it lock & car won't start, wasted like $500 on tow, parts & labor and could avoid it if I took the steering lock fuse out which I did after got the car back.
    Other then that been happy with the VQ platform had G37 Coupe at 30k miles, now almost 90k in 6 years its my daily, I've taken it to the track, road trips & mexico activities and its been reliable. Now I'm selling it to I got 370z with 27k miles and already had CSC failure lol had to swap it for external CSC kit.

      Yea bro. I installed the RJM pedal very early in its life around 30-35k miles. One issue I had was at around 130k miles my water pump failed and it is a pain in the ass to replace because it's timing chain driven. Took me a good two weeks to replace it in my garage, awful design.

    • @corvettezr1ism
      @corvettezr1ism 6 месяцев назад

      This is actually a good design for engine safety. Most cars have their water pumps driven by the serpenentine time. If the serpentine belt snaps or a pulley fails while driving or while you need to drive it to a shop, your engine won't overheat as the water pump is driven by the timing chain.
      Don't ask me how I know this lol. One my idler pulleys or smth came off while I was driving spiritedly haha

    I was sure I had the sunroof drain problem but it turned out to be that the window of the coupe did not close high enough. Just a fingernail thickness gap let in enough water to fill the depression in the floor pan, even in a mild shower. The leak cannot be seen sitting in the car in the rain as water runs down the rubber sealant and comes in under the scuff plate inside the door.

    Sticky / Melting / Shiny or cracked dash, (mine just gets shiny and I have to regularly clean it and treat it with 303 right now very often) and Passenger Occupancy Sensor failure (which shows a nice red light on the dashboard). The Sensor is built into the passenger seat and only way to fix that is with a new seat or do a bypass which I betting you did if you are using non standard seats. Of course if you do the Passenger Occupancy bypass mod, which forces the air bag to always be on, then you have to deal with the seat belt light on by unplugging that connector or using a seat belt extension that is always plugged in to trick it into thinking someone is strapped in.

    There is a strange knocking sound that comes from the back when my music is off. And it’s not only from the back. It happens from the front a little bit too. I know that’s not road noise that’s supposed to be like that. The ride still remains smooth but the back knocks when you go over the slightest creases in the road. It be like thud thud. Some days 😅I’m lucky and I don’t hear it. Usually because I’m playing music. But the days I want to ride with out sound and enjoy the purring of the car. That is always a spoiler. Might be the struts or the shocks. It’s not that loud but it’s there. Does any one else experience the same thing. Please let me know. The mechanic told me there is absolutely nothing wrong with my car after he changed the front driver side wheel bearing hub assembly. That I am so happy about because that used to sound like the e brake was stuck on and it would just grind and slow the acceleration of the car. But now that out the way , the front passenger side might need attention as well, or it just something I waited out and it went away. Now the car drives smooth. Btw I have aftermarket 20 in rims on mine with the proper lower pro tires( and the don’t rub or defect the inner wall) mines an awd by the way. I also have another question. What power steering wheel fluid is supposed to be used in the car. My car came without the owners manual. 2009 Infiniti G37x coupe.

    09' G37 starts and stalls, no engine lights.. any ideas?

    • @3rdPedalMedia

      It needs 3 things.
      Gas
      Air
      Spark
      Check each. Without codes you may need a scanner to scan the output of the sensors. May need a mechanic’s help.
