Juan could you do a review of the Vivo X60 Pro? I'm really interested in upgrading from my OP7 Pro. I think it's a really interesting phone with the gimbal stabilisation on the camera. I'd love to see what you think of it, as that way I'll get an honest in-depth review.
I wish that there was more of a plurality of people demanding open bootloaders in phones so that we can run stock android on devices like this. The more open we have our devices the lest we need to do the software trade off dance.
@@SomeGadgetGuy I feel like it's possible with android being open source, and LineageOS does a pretty good job - we need open bootloaders to be a more common thing as well as hardware that complies to FOSS standards so that ROMs are easier to create for devices. Still waiting for a ROM to save the buggy software on my LG v60 =P
More than that, we also require these OEMs and especially mediatek to stop violating GPL and littering the freedom path with roadblocks by not releasing source code of their hardware specific software. Having an open bootloader is pointless if the only rom that works on the phone is the stock rom
Juan, for me, I use my phone as a camera constantly and work too. I really use it for everything from calendar management to entertainment. Still rocking the Oppo Find X2 Pro
The new background made a fresh impression on your video, it's generic compared to the old one but it felt fresh. as always I enjoyed your correct/logical review.
I'm currently on an LG Stylo 6 on Cricket which cost me $140 plus the phone plan. I love it and use it to text on a messaging service and streaming RUclips (your content included) and movies on my streaming services. In two years I'll have to find a different phone brand and I'll be shopping around then. Thank you for your content.
The only way I managed to escape the advert menu that appears when you try closing the app drawer was to change the scrolling from vertical to Horizontal. Infinix should really try to make the preinstalled apps optional and reduce the ads or if possible reduce/prevent the adds from maring the U.I experience
Great points regarding software. Can the non average user get around these quirks yes? However, will the people buying at this power point also be able too? Great video Juan.
A great value. Even if it’s not for me, I’m glad phones this good at these price points exist. They help to push the bigger guys to improve their “non flagship” offerings.
Do you think youll be able to get your hands on the asus zenfone 8 (the non flip one)? It's one of the last few non-gaming flagship phones with a headphone jack Edit: Sorry this isnt on topic :/ :(
I mainly use my phone for PoGo, RUclips videos and podcasts. So i haven't needed flagships the last few years. Been comfortable in the $200-ish price category, it offers everything i need
The audio sound weak I thought it has dts HD surround sound I don't think it sound that bad I can't wait to get this phone in December and try it myself
Nice. An affordable one. As for the name, it might be a marketing or something that small makers, for now, do to get more attention. Same for Pro, Max, Plus, and others.
@@SomeGadgetGuy please it's important to know about this NOKIA and LG and Sony did well in the past but how about this time is there any phone will be better than LG v60 in audio quality
Well I can't answer that question without a LOT more support sharing these videos. Either for being able to afford to buy EVERY phone out there or to get more visibility with companies to receive review units. I'm only one guy.
@@NuryPPanaligan I dont usually look for custom roms since they dont give me more of exactly what I want. They do provide more freedoms but usually at very steep costs.
Smartphone brands know that midrange segment is the most popular smartphone segment, so they would try to outdo each other. There is a reason why you spend more than $500 for a smartphone.
What do you use your phone for? Multimedia. Primarily music. It's why Expandable storage is a must have and a headphones jack a strong requirement. I don't use streaming services as buffering and bad receptions means no content. I've had far too many bad experiences with trying to stream content (it's why I *hate* google music) This isn't a problem for local media. If a phone had no camera, I wouldn't even care, but if it had no Expandable storage, I won't touch it. Besides the size (too big for my hands), this phone checks all of the boxes. If they make a smaller version next years, it'll be at the top of my list.
Hell yeah another Juan video
Gonna be a nice Friday😋

Completely agree. Android One kinda tanked as a "platform". Giving folks the ability to roll their own would be a kindness.

The Stylo MSRP was silly high, but the phone on sale is a beast. Such a good bargain workhorse.
Great to see you back at it again!
I really love this phone 😍 Amazing Specs and Features ❤️

Hope you can review more and more mid to lower tier phones 5/5
Megapickles!
Why is it power button touch id always seems to work, but the on screen type is so frustratingly hit and miss.
I know right! Only thing I can figure is it's easy to build the muscle memory on a tactile landmark.

I'm hoping to! No idea when though. I'm just getting back up to speed in this new office.
I'm hopeful too and looking forward to it ! From what I noticed Asus are stepping up their PR this year

Hey Juan, are you getting the Sony Xperia 1 III?
Hope so 🤞
Like the new presentation position. Brings back Gadget Lab 2 I think
Yup! I want to move around more 😁
What about its video rendering and batch photo editing performance?
Nice review sir, this phone is awesome 🔥🔥🔥
Yes, I also dislike when a phone has "Note" in their name but not coming with any stylus. That aside, it looks like a very good value for money.
How do you think this compares to the 2020 Moto G Power? 🤔
Una duda.

Is this phone rootable? I've been looking for a good performer that I can root to add fun mods like auto EQ's and such.
If you want good software I would not recommend mediatek.

I think you can. Infinix phones are rootable, but the custom rom support is worse than Snapdragon phones.

Is this a US phone or something for everyone else?
Am I the only one who doesn't care about this phone or others since they have no US presence?
No, you're correct. This isn't a viable option for anyone living a rural area. No bands= no go. Carrier support is still a thing, in middle America.
