Future Islands - "Old Friend" LYRICS on Screen

Included on Future Islands' 2008 "Wave Like Home" album, it was written in July 2007, when Sam Herring returned to Greenville for a few days to write and record with the rest of the band.
"Old Friend is a: I speak to myself sometimes and I cherish this time, but who is this person? Its good to see you again, where did you go? Its good to see you again, coming to a happier place, away from that dark." Old friend was Sam Herring speaking to himself.

Slight change of lyrics: in the official version he says "I wait in the eyes of the passing night" first, and only then "I process the lines of the passing lights"
