Mike, the dust from "itchy stuff" is super unfrendly to your lungs, beaware. Thanks for sharing.
Who else held their breath as Mike dug in the insulation?!
Made me ich
You can see all the glass fibers floating in the air - totally bad for lungs and skin
Я много лет на стройке проработал и пока Майк перекидывал изоляцию я весь чисался😂там не только не возможно разговаривать но и дыхать !
I worked at a construction site for many years and while Mike was throwing insulation, I was all scared😂not only is it not possible to talk there, but also to breathe!
I got itchy just watching.
Mike! Wear a mask! If we can't hear you for a minute, tough! We want to keep you around and kicking for as long as possible. Love ya!
I'd love to see more followup videos. It would be interesting to see what you could get for those.
Mike: it warms my heart
Viewers: Mike warms our hearts
Plumbers: whoever takes the water heaters warms our hearts
😂😂😂
@CODENAMEALPHA16 you must be doing a scavenger watching marathon... enjoy!
If you take baby powder with you, apply it when you're around insulation and it closes off your pores. You won't get itchy anymore. I used it for around 25 years.
Thats a protected ancient secret your giving away there.
Dude they weren't hiding it from you, they were hiding it for you. They knew you would dig, for you are the DUMPSTER KING!
Mike for United States President 🇺🇸
They were most likely hiding it from their boss...something some engineer required for the job and the data techs said fooey to him and did it the normal way
@@jensenacklese3049 This guy does more work in one night than Joe Biden has done in his entire life.(like most politician's)
Hey Mike, just imagine. If it's itching on the outside what it's doing in your lungs. I know you've been doing this for a long time and all the crap that you've been breathing in. I hope you have a really good insurance plan.
👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼🍀😀🇺🇸
Mike, my husband suggested taking the Panduit to Home Depot or Lowes and selling it to contractors for a lower price. He said they used it constantly for installations.
That dust in the air was making me itch a 1000 miles away. Go Mike.
Yeah get that stuff in your lungs that sucks
I thought oh crap he’s breathing all that in. Please wear a mask Mike!!
Me too you can see it floating in the air
no kidding, watching it made me squint to keep the dust out of my eyes lol
XD Dude probably needed a cold shower
Mike, ty so much for saving stuff from the landfill , you are saving the world one scrap trip at a time x
Damn Mike, no way I'd have dug that pile of insulation without at least a mask. That's crazy dedication to the scrap!
@@JB-zr2cq breathing fiberglass dust is actually quit bad for your health think before you comment
Yeah man, sometimes gotta just let that dumpster go
My asthma flares up just watching his videos lol
@@JB-zr2cq Me either glad I chose to use my brain instead of a hammer to make a living.
@@JB-zr2cq lmao i did construction with my dad for 2 years bucko it was apart of our citys health code to wear masks whilst putting in fiber glass insulation. this aint me being wimpy its just facts that fiber glass dust can be harmful to breath in.
I am a newer fan to your channel, and love your videos. I'm a nurse, and probably have a different angle when watching them, than the awesome males, here. I'm often concerned about those particles you breath in, and I support you wearing a proper mask.
I don't want you to be harmed. Thank you for who you are, mostly: your grit, determination, values and humor. P.S. I even tuned into Jelly Roll, to see who he was ;)
You don't need to be a nurse to know you shouldn't be breathing that in.
Wow made me feel itchy just watching all that fibreglass floating in the air lol 😆
Don't be breathing that stuff in Mike!
I just sneezed watching it.
Just caught myself holding my breath watching those particles flying around. Will say Mike does not leave scraps behind.
Thanks Mike. They also use that spiral wrap in the composite vacuum molding industry. Shit is expensive! Good find!
The stuff people have no problem throwing away blows my mind.. great find !
Broken or antiquated is the likely reasons. Cheaper to buy new under warranty that find someone who may or may not be able to repair said items and they be reliable.
Love you Mickey. You're the best. Love watching you.
This dumpster diving you do must be hard work. Giving you a lot of respect for what you do.
Please stay safe.
Johanna from Londonderry NH.
Mike, you have got to establish a “MTS” eBay store for your findings... if that wire wrap is going for $500 per spool, you ought to be able to get $200-300 per spool. You could do the same with motors and used cameras. Wishing you another safe week. Peace brother
A good rule to follow is such ""They had this stuff removed and replaced with new for a reason".
Holy mesothelioma Batman! The glass fibers had me holding my breath. All for the wire yo! Another epic haul.
Mesothelioma is specific to asbestos im pretty sure, not fiberglass
@@AverageCitizen333 confirmed, but fiberglass is a real carcinogen
Yeah. Fuck that shit.
@@AverageCitizen333 fact, but mesothelioma sounded funnier than ‘Holy Bronchitis like symptoms Batman’.
Either way, who knows half the stuff Mike inhales in the trash and while wearing shorts. He’s got a great attitude and bolder than I would be.
Hey mike, good video as always, have you ever considered a low to the ground trailer for your larger items, stoves, fridges, freezers, hot water tanks, furnaces, ac, bbq grills, saves on back problems and easier to load and unload. Thanks
Another Mike's Excellent Adventures! I was thinking the same thing about the insulation from the other days video. Let us know what you made on those spools ??? Love those water heater folks too. Leaving the good copper on there. Have a great day!!!
I got all itchy on the first dumpster and couldn't stop 😂😂 warms my heart like a water heater 😆😆
Hey Mike- great episode! It helps to remove the fiberglass/insulation from your skin if you rub pantyhose on it- no joke! Been there done that!
Rob The Pantyhose King!
@@markfurman4386 😂
I will come across this one day and I will forget your name. So I thank you now. Thanks Rob mad helpful.
I would love to know what you made on that haul to the scrap yard and on those conduits spools. I'm from Arkansas and i remember back in the days when i was young and my dad would go scraping and brought home the money it was nice, but he had nothing on you, you are the KING.
i totally enjoy your scrappin', you make dumpster diving an entertaining art. another great adventure, thanks mike.
keep up the great vids Mike! I stopped by a pile of free stuff the other day and got to talking with the homeowner, who then hooked me up with like a $1000 worth of tools and half my truck bed full of oak fire wood, it was awesome!!!
Mike, you are a hard working man! I so admire your work ethic. I do want to urge you to include your particulate mask in your safety equipment arsenal. You are a young, strong healthy guy and you want to stay that way! You don't want to end up with some kind of pulmonary problem from inhaling all that dust and fiber from the dumpsters. Love to watch you work, dude! Keep on scrapping!
I woulda been stoked on all those water bottles 😜
What’s up thub!
@@flexedout6650 oh hey there buddy! Hope you’ve been well 😊
Great videos as always. Why don't you leave a business card if possible at the location where you have been picking up the hot water heaters? This way you may have them call you, when they have a load. This way you may acquire some other metals. This used to help me with alot of business.
I feel the itch from that insulation 😂
Love to watch you go!! Thanks for keeping that "stuff", out of the landfill!! A little money for you and a cleaner Earth for us!!
And I'm sure you already know that cold showers close your pores that way the fiberglass will come off easier when you wash. it sucks but you already know that. good video loving the content
🤩 WOW. All that copper left on the tanks. Mighty Mike had another great haul. Poor Dottie. She is squatting. Stay safe and God Bless
Never mind the scrap you need a respirator going through that my friend has lung damage not using proper breathing mask your health is more important
Love finding wire licks like that. The one thing i always wonder when tossing around a dumpster like that, is what the guys think the next day when they start throwing more away & realise the dumpster has been emptied lmao. Last night from one dumpster i filled the truck & emptied the roll off. I'll hit it again tonite to see if more came out. 100 bucks for an hours work & a little more to unload & get paid. I'll take that anytime. ty for taking us along Mike
I wonder the same. I also wonder, man, if I worked construction demos, I’d be throwing stuff into my own truck parked next to the dumpster instead of the dumpster!
Had to get me a hot cup of herbal tea and watch som Dumpster Diving with Mike.
“Watch your head!”
I give you credit, I see all that fiberglass insulation and there's no chance in Hell I'm digging. That stuff is nasty even when new.
Could have been a million dollars under that insulation and I'd have never known lol, allergic as hell to it
No you're not lol
Mike i have so much respect for you on what you do. PLEASE GET YOU SOME MASK. That isolation is dangerous stuff. Dont want your health compromised. A good oatmeal bath may help with the itching. I started itching just watching you and im in Alabama. Stay cool and safe. God bless you
That was awesome! You seem to be getting back to your old self. We love you Mike. ❤️💙
Alright Mike, it's time to go to Lowe's or HDX and invest in some Tyvek coveralls and some masks to keep in Dot's backseat for such occasions.
I'm itching and sneezing like crazy here. 😄
Another 4 pack of water heaters too...noice! 👍🏿
Nailed it👍 I found watching the insulation hard because I've experienced it also. It made me think about rubbing my eyes and felt like I had fiberglass in there😂 crazy the placebo effect isn't it!
Man Mickey thanks so kuch for your entertaining vids everytime, please start wearing a mask when u dumpster dive atleast, who knows what all u breathe in, please take care
Love it for you Mike😍 man you have been hitting good here lately! I seen that leg action😂🥰 you my friend are the King up scrap! Keep on keeping on 😎🤟🏼🥰
Re: the installation.....Mask for sure
and your hook would have protected you from at least getting you from sticking your hands through that cotton candy killer.
Re: your truck..... wouldn't it save time to pull your truck up to these dumpsters????? might be able to get a few extra dumpsters over the course of your travels.
Re: your videos.... I love em. I look forward to seeing them and in closing I put you in the top 3 of all the videos I watch.
Stay safe and " Maintain the Mask ".
PEACE
Sneezing just watching you dig! Get that mask in your truck! Awesome finds!
Me and my cousin found one day 3 ft tall by about 5 and 1/2 to 6 ft sheets of clean aluminum totaling 307 lb and we brought it all back on bicycles I had an improvised tow behind trailer made out of a Rubbermaid double wheelbarrow and we transported it about a mile and a half maybe more to the scrap yard at the time here in Albany New York we were getting 53 cents a pound we made a good chunk of money that day
Hey Mike. I have been scrapping for decades and I must admit you not moving stuff out of the way often drives me crazy. Its so often the best if not the only way to get to the goods so was glad to see you do it. Also when dealing with fiberglass (insulation) soon as you get home take a cold shower as cold as you can stand ,it closes the pores and the fiber can wash off you. Happy hunting bud and thnx for all the scrap porn.
Great one Mike. Let us know what happens with the cable wrap.
Wow spiral 🕸 webbing it really is that much. You can sell it on internet for sure 🙂
Tires me out just watching how hard you work! Good to be young!
You've made us all Scavengers for life. Forget the pink isshh! Feel the itch...enjoy the bounty!
בשביל כסף קטן אתה עושה לעצמך נזק בריאותי קשה
Anyone else holding their breath with all those particles floating around haha
Yet another great entertaining video, thanks Mike. Rob T Australia
Mike I committed before. I love your videos. It feels like I'm in the dumpster with you. I know it's hot, but you should think about wearing Pants. Keep a mask and long sleeve shirt or something to put on if you need to. You never know what's in them dumpsters.
Interesting trip thanks for taking us along.
I like what you do. always looks like fun . Freedom is cool.
You can run (a cable) but you can't hide!
No metal is safe when Mike's on the hunt!
Greetings from London.
I believe that some people throw stuff into dumpsters with the intentions of retrieving it!
Who would have thought that these could be so addicting and hallarious?
Mike, you need to find you a friend that is a wood worker! I see so much great wood scrap that you simply walk over that most hobby wood workers would love to get their hands on!
Tbh my first reaction/thought was “if you can resell them fast for $5 or $10 a pop, it’s worth grabbing.”
Mike pulls out his phone and looks it up only to find it was worth 100 times my guess lmao
They burried the good stuff under the insulation just for Mike the Scavenger.
Mike,I've often thought that you should have a mask on in those dumpsters with all the dust generated sometimes. Especially with medical dumpsters too thesedays💪we don't want you gettin Ill Mike💪
I would have disposable gloves on in the medical one's too. You don't know what kind of ill people have touched anything. People with aids for instance. No need to worry about catching a cold, I mean covid because it's made up.
@@rastamanralph6670 ubr crazy it is not madeup wow
Mike must have natural immunity from years of exposure....
@@krmeadows0001 true 👍👍
@@melyndazeek7407 you obviously don't do much research. Have you heard of the Nuremberg trails after ww2 where all the people who were just doing their job got time and the death sentence? Well it's happening again. It's called Nuremberg 2.0! Look on odyssee or some other none censored platform and you will learn. Then share it.
@ 12:28... Yeah, where I was wroking, you couldn't throw fluorescent tubes in the trash... They had to be boxed, labeled, and taken away by a contractor who did that....
Kind of shocking, to see a huge dumpster, full of tubes.... Heh he heh!
I makes me sad and discouraged when I see tubes in regular trash they are required to be recycled here in Maine because of the mercury in them and it is free in quantity’s of 10 per visit to participating hardware stores. So far One of my local hardware stores has collected probably 200 tubes from me bringing them in!
Wow! That’s a lot of wire in there! Yes! I believe they were hiding it from you or anything else.
I’ve heard that baby powder helps with the fiberglass itches! You can keep a little bottle in the truck. I hope you can sell those rolls for a nice profit! The workers are like it’s magic we put out hot water heaters and they magically disappear!!
Thanks Mike you been working hard for us, love your videos bro. You been pumping them out, thank you! 😊
Mike no one can say you don't work for your goods. You always make Dottie Happy.
Another great vid Mike. I keep thinking about you telling the wife about you big scores like that when you get home. I can see her fixing lasagna and lighting the candles on the dinner table.
I think Mike does most of the cooking. 😊He frequently comments about needing to get home to make dinner. He does a good job house cleaning too. He posted a video recently with him washing dishes and the dog watching him. 👍😁 He's a great guy.
@@RavenCajun I saw that video too. He's quite the guy. 😁
I think this would definitely be a situation where a mask would actually help keep u from breathing in particles lol…nice find!
Great dive! Have a great night!!🙂
I agree with you... You are saving them money. Where I used to work, there was a charge for the dumpster.... There was an extra charge if it was filled even 1 inch over the top, in any spot.... so, by pulling out material, you are helping them.... And there was an extra charge if it was over a certain weight.... So you are helping them there, by pulling heavy metal weight out.....
You actually are saving them money....
Well done Mike that haul was brilliant 👏
You have me looking for "Scrappity, scrap, scrap, scrap" when I'm watching my resale, donate divers 😂!!! It's killing me 😂😂😂!
Mike, I love that you never give up.
When I worked as an electrian we use to charge if I remember correctly 1.75 a foot for split conduit mostly used it speciality or custom jobs. Not often day to day stuff. But when you needed it you needed it. Very spendy stuff. But, also very nessary in certain applications. Basicly anywhere vibration or movement could cause a rub through.
Call an industrial electric installer company ask for the buyer or buyers agent. Tell them what you got mark it at 60% off. Bet you dimes to dollers they buy it all. Might need to call 3-4 but someone will buy it. You make money they save money. Win Win.
Tell them your a scrapper and you run it to this kinda thing every now and again and looking for someone that's interested in purchasing this kinda stuff long term. if thier not interested ask they if they know who might be. Don't get discouraged if the first couple 3 dudes say no, there will be a young hungry guy/company outthere that will be.
Love ending my day with Mike
Yes sir! Best scrapper channel I've ever seen on RUclips. Mike the Scavenger bring back the guy in Cape because this first open top just made you the Scrap Hero. Man you just went in on that lnsolation. Woohoo 🙌
And another great episode to end the day of, getting some free scrap is always best 😊😊👍👍
Mike, you really really really should take care of your health and safety dude, that itchy stuff is really bad stuff to breathe in also plaster dust etc… masks aren’t expensive, get the highest rated ones. Not sure how your ratings work in the USA? Other sorts of dust could be asbestos related to boilers etc.
Love the content watch everyone you post, look after your self..

Geezzzz Whizzzzzz Mike, you are on the money again. Love the episode bro.
Mike really would like to know more about those spools and what you get for them.

Take a cold shower when you get home. It prevents the pores from opening so the fiberglass does not get in them. Thanks for your videos. I have and joyed all of them since I found you last year.
The grey roll of plastic tubing, it's water tight flex for outdoors. Like from house to outside A/C unit.
Throwing away full roles of Panduit like that is freaking crazy!!!!!
It's amazing how electrical contractors buy a surplus of stuff for jobs and because the customer already paid for the materials for the job they just throw out the stuff they didn't use.
NO YOU DIDN’T LEAVE ALL OF THOSE ROUND SPOOL TOPS…I HAVE PAID $5 FOR A WHOLE SPOOL BEFORE….DUDE !!!😲😲😖😖🤭🤭
I’d love to watch a HWH tear down
I'm so BLESSED I have A/C installers drop off old units in my back yard🤑
Dude, your videos are awesome! I love watching you jump in the dumpsters. Your legs are definitely in shape. 😍
Hello I have been a subscriber to your channel for a while I just ran across this video today which is one of your older ones and I'm curious to know I have you sold those spools of wire wrap ... I hope the answer is yes because I always want to see you prosper
You should get a free mask and wear it around insulation. That's glass. Your lungs and heart will thank you.❤️
Mike, I know you saw how bad it was when you edited this video. Maybe keep a dust respirator in Dotty, for your future good health.
Hello guys watching from montalban Risal Philippines
Next time, use the stick to pull the insulation away. Save yourself some itchiness!
Not gonna lie, this one had me holding my breath a lot.
