This station has used a variety of music. At one point it was using only N Korean martial music, later it used a mixture of N Korean popular and other stuff. Recently it has shifted to mainly classical music. But the source is definitely in South Korea, the source is definitely high powered, and the source has been transmitting these messages for over 30 years. This is not some small, portable, covert operation. It is a typical OWVL, and that means it is state sponsored.
@88mroux Perhaps you are unfamiliar with radio wave propagation? This is a shortwave signal that is being sent by a station more than 5600 miles away, and not being sent specifically to my location or for my reception. As such it does not sound like your local FM station, but this is still considered a loud and clear signal for a non-broadcast shortwave transmission. It really could not get a lot better in this mode and in this frequency range, no matter how good a "machine" you have.
@88mroux "In terms of Tracking", what do you mean by that? No reference I can find mentions anything like that ("Traking" or even assuming a typo, "tracking") with regards to AM mode short wave reception.
@yurikomuro Why do you say this station is North Korean? I am always interested in new information on these stations. This station has been RFDFed many times over the years by many different listeners, both professional and hobbyist alike (including the ITU Radiocommunication Bureau International Monitoring effort). Almost all of them indicate the source is South Korea, not North. The music might be North Korean, as I said in my description, several of the songs identified so far are.
For this video I was indeed using a shortwave radio. In this case it was an RFSpace SDR-IQ, software defined radio (SDR). The software used to control and display / demodulate is SpectraVue.
I expect they are playing the North Korean song in order for an agent to not raise suspicion if heard whilst tuning in inside the DPRK.
This has to be one of the better documentations of a numbers station I have seen. Keep it up! Thanks!

They should send snsd kara etc. instead .
Which software are you using to listen to these number stations ? I assume that it is not a shortwave radio
