Just when I think I've seen the best of Marcus King, I go and find another diamond like this that blows my mind and takes my respect for him to a whole new level. What the absolute fuck.
@@Nitromessiah I thought he was referring to his voice... ? And I couldn't agree more!💙💙💙💙💙 But honestly, I don't think Marcus King "just" does anything!!
my blood begins to boil when Markus closes his eyes and starts playing. How this even possible the guy is so good at what he's doing. Markus is the real deal.
Haven’t seen someone that becomes one with the guitar like this young man since the late great SRV. Both squeeze every bit out of a note and it all flows together in a sweet melody. Tasty
incredible natural talent. Once in a generation. Yes he has the blues chops but those jazz lessons really pop out in his playing. Real music is alive and well with Marcus and Kingfish at the wheel.
Marcus Kingcis the real deal and poised to be on the fore front of the music scene for years to come. Marcus Standing together with Billy Strings. Finally bringing hope back

What a great talented musician, his phrasing is so damn good …
phrasing? He just runs scales

I get chills and super giddy when I'm listening to MK...how can his music not put anyone in a great mood!

God. This was a good show. I’ve had the privilege to see him that night plus 3 shows in 22. Nashville is great isn’t it. ❤
Can't believe this doesn't have at least 100,000 views! MCM always at tha hot!
I Smell Trouble is the song. Ike & Tina Turner did it among other blues and soul greats. Awesome rendition. Marcus killing it as always.
Ashamed to say I did not know that! TYKindly.!
And, indeed, a smoking version by Bobby Blue Bland with, I think Wayne Bennet on guitar, in 1957.
@@dcaudwell I have that version on CD. 👊🏽
@@jjboogie1 Nice! It's still my favourite! I also love the 1983 version Ronnie Earl did with Kim Wilson (of the Fab T Birds) on vocals - smokin!
Just wow!!!!! Blown away

Simply TOP!
#MarcusKing is the most soulful guitar God today💫
At the moment I don't think there is any better listening!
@@jasonh.8362 Not at all. Marcus just gets better if that can happen?! I’ve experienced them twice and it’s never enough✌️
I live 1 hour south of Nashville, no need to miss this!!
@@jasonh.8362 And I’m 1 hour north of New Orleans..

Damn damn damn Marcus is old school good!!! Come to San Antonio Tx. We have a venue called Sam’s Burger Joint Marcus
He's channelling a lot of SRV here. Check out SRVs gig at El Mocambo in Toronto circa 1983.
Goosebumps and stank face
Thanks!
The first song he covered is Buddy Guy's I Smell Trouble.
I think it was first recorded by Bobby Blue Bland with, I think Wayne Bennet on guitar, in 1957.
He is an absolutely astoundingly good guitarist. It’s a mystery to me why his last album (2024’s Mood Swings) features so little of it.
Saw him in Reno, Nevada in May 2024. He is just "Fantastic". Sounds like a male version of Janis Joplin!
♥♥♥
Saw him first 2017 in Nuremberg, Germany. There were only 400 listeners.
🔥🔥🔥🔥
Phenomenal…. It’s absolutely not a stretch to claim he is the King of the Kings… or dare I say inching ahead of SRV and Hendrix?!
I smell trouble .... IKE & TINA
Guy looks like BaBy King, but knows how to play and sing, well done!
I would like to understand the songtext. Can anybody explain it for me?
Eat at Taco Bell and you will find out.
@@twowaymuir Sorry, there is no Taco Bell in Germany.
@@karinroth684 That's good.
@@twowaymuir 🤣
Turn on the close caption. It will tell you the lyrics.

The way he sings he is going to break his voice.
