Same for me (also 36). So funny how memory works that way. Another one I have is that whenever I hear the “We need a little Christmas/Right this very minute” song, I think of the red and green Christmas M&M’s, I think because there was a late-80’s era M&M’s commercial that aired right after the Muppets sing that song in the VHS recording we had of “The Muppet Family Christmas” TV movie/special.

Thank you so very much! My children used to love playing this over and over. Now they are grown and I miss them so much! This makes me feel like they are still here with me, snuggling in their footy pajamas!
Right! Found this video last year and made sure to save it --- thought Disney+ would have this for sure and they didn't :( Good thing this is still up!
33 years old. This is one of my greatest memories as A child. I bought this on dvd so my children can watch as well. This is one of reasons I absolutely love Christmas
I bought this for my son's first Christmas and I have hunted for it online. I am so happy to have found it. Probably about 1993 l had gone into the city with my son in his pram and my mum. It's just such a lovely winter memory. I remember decorating the tree with it playing and for a few years after that when Santa Claus played a big part of Christmas I always had it on, it brings so many happy memories now. Thank you for posting this
I own the VHS but it's nice to remind me of days gone by via the tube. I even bought the remake on dvd which was equally as good. There is something good and wholesome about this that should remain an American and English(International) institution for generations to come. Thank you to all those that made these beautiful dreams come true.
I’m so pleased I’ve found this on RUclips, I bought this in 1988 when my children were small, they’re all grown up with children of their own, we actually wore the video out, I’ve been looking for it for ages, so nostalgic, brought a tear to my eye x
Takes me back to when my oldest son was a baby! i still have this along with the other Disney sing-a-longs on VHS. I can sing it like it was yesterday. (without looking at the screen) Thank You so much for posting this!!
Stll have the VHS tape. After visiting Meadowhall in Sheffield with my wife and family, the week before christmas in 1993, the video was been played on the BIG screen in the Oasis dining area, the music was echoing all around the shopping centre with everyone singing along, later while shopping that same day i came accrss a copy on a shelf in the HMV store and had to buy it, ever since then every year we love to watch and sing along to the songs, such beautiful memories still to this day. Thank you Disney.
Dear RUclips and poster of this video, please never take this down! You have no idea how many wonderful childhood memories this brings back of a time long lost but never forgotten.
This brings back so many memories. I have had the VHS of this video and then the DVD. When ever my granddaughter would have trouble sleeping or if she was upset, I'd play this video for her and it would calm her down. Thanks for sharing.
This vhs original is the very best!! The remake dvd is too corny. I had this in vhs as a kid in 1992. Thanks for posting I am able to share with my son who loves this version as much as I did.
After all these years, this pulled at my heart strings. Not just the fact that this was my childhood as well as many others but the last song of ‘Silent Night’ always was very peaceful and now hearing it through all this darkness in our world right now is emotional cause it saids to me and after all these years, “don’t give up, cause there is light no matter where you are.” Damn…this was hard to write. =‘(
We would watch this video every year at Christmas time. We lost it years ago and since my sister and I have had our own kids we have searched and searched for this! Thank you so much for sharing this!
Every year at xmas I would download Christmas songs from amazon music on my iPhone and title my playlist "Merry Christmas" where I would listen to them especially when I'm in the shower! I titled in COVID19 edition last year
I'm so happy I found this. When I was a child I watched this on repeat, but I would always get scared of the Silent Night song and ask my mom to fast-forward through it. Watching it now as an adult, the nostalgic fear is still there but I can now appreciate how hauntingly beautiful it is.
@@JakeTheComicBookDude I had no idea! I had actually never seen all of Fantasia in one sitting, because funnily enough, as a kid I was too scared of that movie too lol
@@JakeTheComicBookDude for the religious aspect, I assume? My mom actually used this exact sing-a-long tape in Sunday school a few times during the holidays.

I owned This on vhs and watched this every Christmas till around 2000 when dvds became big. Love this so much and the music is amazing. One of the best Christmas sing a longs ever.
One of Disney's top 10 contributions to society I see. Excellent team of creative contributers. A work of art, value, warmth and culture of an era ❤ ✝️ 🎄 every kid wished they could be there. And they were..with this on vhs..

My sisters and I grew up with this VHS in the mid 90’s! We would watch every year for a month! All the way up to Christmas. Now I’m sitting here with my 4yo son watching. He loves Christmas! Thank you for this video it’s literally a blessing bringing back memories and continuing the memories a generation later ❤ 🎄 🎅
I would watch this on vhs countless times during Christmas! Then I'd watch it more with my cousins. Now I watch it with my son! I got a DVD version but it's not the same. Thanks for this! ❤💚❤💚❤💚❤
I used to watch this movie when it came to Christmas and I remember singing along with all the songs with the lyrics on the screen, it was so fun watching and singing with my favorite songs from Christmas.
@@danyonyoungs5457 I do not think the Disney VHS's were ever orange. You're probably thinking about Rugrats if you are thinking about orange cassettes.
I remember watching this my whole life and I’ve always loved those classic sing along song videos when I was kid, particularly Disney because I loved the theme song, the hosts, Professor Owl, Ludwig Von Drake, and Jiminy Cricket, the promos, and I loved the way they made us follow along with the lyrics in two different ways. The bouncing Mickey Mouse ball and the words changing colors. I honestly think those videos were really entertaining and very inspiring because every time I see lyrics to help me follow along, I think about Disney Sing Along Songs. Out of all of them, my all time favorite is Disney’s Very Merry Christmas Songs and Disney’s Twelve Days of Christmas because every time I hear those Christmas songs like Deck the Halls, Jingle Bells, Joy to the World, Twelve Days of Christmas and many more, I think of these inspiring videos. They really made me a kid again.
Don't ever take this video down. I grew up with this as a kid back in the 90s. We used to watch it every Christmas season at my old daycare back in the day. I think we used to also watch it with my family every year during the Christmas season as well. Disney has changed so much in it's time that it's kind of hard to find any of its old works that were like this one. So much has changed in life in the seasons, the world, entertainment, Disney and more. It's a miracle to find something like this on here. I shed a tear of joy to this. May the good lord bless you. God bless us, everyone.
As a kid during late 90s and early 2000s these cartoons were a source of happiness. My father lost his well paid job abroad and had taken a low paying job which meant we did not have fancy toys, bicycles, cable tv etc. The VHS rentals were a source of entertainment along with fishing and playing in the fields. These cartoons were especially memorable during monsoons when we couldn't go outdoors. I try to make kids now watch many of the older cartoons instead of some of the new ones which seems to be actually encouraging obnoxious behaviour under garb of confidence. Another cartoon which I liked were some Japanese ones from the 80s and 90s which teaches compassion, kindness while also addressing kiddie issues.
The memories of being in my cozy Grandparents house with the fireplace going and singing to this is so fond to me.....Silent Night brings me to tears now.
To the wonderful human who posted this, bless you. I'm buried deep in stress right now and trying not to let it consume me, and just had the random thought, "If only I could watch the Disney Christmas song along, I think I'd feel a little better." I just was expecting maybe a clip or two. But here's the whole thing in all it's glory. This is my childhood. I don't have the words to describe how cathartic this is being able to watch it again. I don't think any single thing brings back that feeling of carefree joy of being a kid at Christmas. I'm 31 and going to be able to keep my head up a little easier thanks to this nostalgia.
OMG!! IV’E FOUND IT!! Please don”t ever take this down 🙏. I”m 41 🫣 and I used to watch this on VHS every single Christmas with my mum, who recently passed. It reminds me of my mum and my childhood. So many happy memories ❤. Thank you so, so much for uploading this. I can’t thank you enough 🙏❤️

This is one of my greatest memories as
A child. I bought this on dvd so my children can watch as well.
This is one of reasons I absolutely love
Christmas
The 90s were a great time to grow up!
Can I ask where you found it on dvd?
@@priscilalala4577 I bought it on Amazon!
Thank you for posting this
Joy to the world has been my favorite 😍
The fairies and the scenery were just magical ❤
That scene was from the movie Fantasia 1940.
In memory of old Christmases gone by, with these films I relive my sweet childhood with nostalgia when everything was simpler. Thank you.
Sat here watching with my mum and it brought tears to our eyes. Fab memories. Thank you posting
I cried upon watching it. What wonderful memories of which I want to share with my son.
This brings back so many memories. I have had the VHS of this video and then the DVD. When ever my granddaughter would have trouble sleeping or if she was upset, I'd play this video for her and it would calm her down. Thanks for sharing.
I watched this every single year on Christmas! It was so comforting to watch when I was alone in my room during the holidays as a child ❤️❤️❤️
I felt you there.
We would watch this video every year at Christmas time. We lost it years ago and since my sister and I have had our own kids we have searched and searched for this! Thank you so much for sharing this!
Lisa Sparks q
Lisa Sparks OMG I was thinking of the same and was looking for it haha
Every year at xmas I would download Christmas songs from amazon music on my iPhone and title my playlist "Merry Christmas" where I would listen to them especially when I'm in the shower!
I titled in COVID19 edition last year
I'm so happy I found this. When I was a child I watched this on repeat, but I would always get scared of the Silent Night song and ask my mom to fast-forward through it.
Watching it now as an adult, the nostalgic fear is still there but I can now appreciate how hauntingly beautiful it is.
The silent night song used clips from Ave Maria, the final scene of Fantasia, right after the creepy night on bald mountain segment.
@@JakeTheComicBookDude I had no idea! I had actually never seen all of Fantasia in one sitting, because funnily enough, as a kid I was too scared of that movie too lol
@@CSIperea wonder why they chose Fantasia for silent night?
@@JakeTheComicBookDude for the religious aspect, I assume? My mom actually used this exact sing-a-long tape in Sunday school a few times during the holidays.
@@CSIperea ok
I had no idea this was on RUclips! I watched this all the time when I was little! So many memories! I'm officially adding it to my yearly Christmas rewatch!
I owned This on vhs and watched this every Christmas till around 2000 when dvds became big. Love this so much and the music is amazing. One of the best Christmas sing a longs ever.
I haven’t seen this vhs tape in years… I can never forget the Silent Night segment of this video. Thank you for bringing back this Christmas classic.🙏
This was such a huge part of my childhood. Thank you so much for posting this!
Please never delete this!!!!! I watched this so much as a kid and can’t believe it’s here
One of Disney's top 10 contributions to society I see. Excellent team of creative contributers. A work of art, value, warmth and culture of an era ❤ ✝️ 🎄 every kid wished they could be there. And they were..with this on vhs..
Please never take this down. This was a Christmas gift on VHS in the late 80’s - my sister and I watched it over and over. It holds a magic that I’ll never get back in my life… thank you for reminding me of it 💜
but u got the memories and feelings. so u actually still have it. just not as potent.
I’m Japanese and I used to watch this VHS on Christmas Day with my family! it reminded me of my childhood. Thank you for uploading this.
This always reminds me of Christmas eve at my Grandparents house. We always opened one present then we'd have a buffet whilst watching this. ❤️🎄
My family watches this video after we put our tree up and I watch it regularly throughout the months of December it’s a wonderful childhood memory that brings me happiness and joy in my heart. Thank you.
This brings back so many memories. Loved watching this as a child around Christmas. Very nostalgic. Thank you for the upload!
Thank you so much for posting this! Please never delete it!
I would watch this on vhs countless times during Christmas! Then I'd watch it more with my cousins. Now I watch it with my son! I got a DVD version but it's not the same. Thanks for this! ❤💚❤💚❤💚❤
"Silent Night" brings me to tears every time.
I used to watch this movie when it came to Christmas and I remember singing along with all the songs with the lyrics on the screen, it was so fun watching and singing with my favorite songs from Christmas.
This was truly the most sweetest thing to watch as a modern kid. This is what it used to be like and now it’s all about presents :(
Takes me back to when I was a kid in the mid 90s my parents had this video. Back when Disney was watchable. Merry Christmas
Oh my god.... childhood nostalgia. I still have the VHS somewhere. Used to see it every year when I was a kid.
I grew up with this video so I can sing from the beginning to the end, with every phrase of characters!!!
Same! I actually had the orange cassette tapes prior to the vhs tapes
@@danyonyoungs5457 I do not think the Disney VHS's were ever orange. You're probably thinking about Rugrats if you are thinking about orange cassettes.
@@zeldafan1942 the cassette tapes were orange. I didn't have them VHS tapes
Me too, I even nail the YOOOO HOOOOs on sleigh ride 😂
Thank you for posting I played this every Christmas morning while my kids opened their presents.
I had this on VHS and played it every Christmas. Oh man the nostalgic feels 😊.
I grew up with this video and I'm 36!!!!! Thank you for posting this, it has brought me such nostalgic memories!!!!
Wondeful Childhood Memories. I enjoyed it. I still have the VHS tape. THenks for uploading it. Now i can show it to my little sisters.
I had this version when I was a child. By 2002, they added 10 more Christmas Songs on the DVD version.
This has such great memories for me and my family. Thank you and God bless

Oh man. I grew up watching this with my parents and older sister on VHS. Both of my parents have now passed and now it’s me and my sister. I’m 33 now and I always comeback to this every year to watch it with my wife, sister, niece and nephew. 😢
Like a lot of people commenting... Our family had the VHS.. loved it! I'm 33 now.. the memories are so vivid. We used to watch it when we were putting up the Christmas tree every year! ❤️🎄
Parade of the Wooden Toy Soldiers is vastly underplayed.

Me too. Me and my kids used to sing-a-long on this. Missing those days. They grew up so fast, now they have their own kids and maybe they can sing-a-long also. Thanks for sharing this.
I remember putting this on even when it wasn’t Christmas.
Jingle Bells was my jam, growing up.
Mark Hamill's Joker- 🎼jingle bells, Batman smells, Robin laid an egg, the Batmobile had lost a wheel and the Joker GOT, A-WAAAAAYYYYY!!!!! Crashing through the roof, on a one-horse open tree, busting out I go, laughing all the waaaaayyyyy🎼 *laughs maniacally*

Also I love how bare minimum effort they put in this whole video. But it’s still fantastic
My mom has videos of me as a baby in 1992 in a johnny jump-up freaking out and happy bouncing when they put this vhs on. Never been able to find it again. Now my kids can watch it 💕
