That could take up a whole episode on its own - let alone going back to first principles. However can we please get a lubricant company to sponsor her?!

What we see her do is only a fraction of what it takes to take these projects through to completion. She does it all herself. She does not show it all to us. I have never seen her clean a slip ring or replace a set of diodes. She does not tell us about the grave difficulties she has in getting spare parts. Of course she is very good at constructing replacement parts but this is not possible for everything. Rewinding coils for a stator is fine as long as you know how many coils you need, the diameter and current carrying capacity of the wire and the number of turns in each coil. We see her doing this by measuring these parameters of the coils when she takes them apart. What happens when a machine is being rebuilt in which bits of the windings are not there. This takes a lot of knowledge and skill to address. Sometimes the answers do not come easy.

WD40 can be help her a lot !
