First Time Racing At Cochran Motor Speedway With The Southern All-Stars

First Time Racing at Cochran motor speedway with the southern all-stars series was a learning experience for us. After a 3+ hour drive we where ready to do some racing with the #12 super late model. This would be our first time ever seeing the race track and was excited to give it a go. First up was hot laps, the car looked pretty good in 3 & 4 but was a little tight off turn #2. Galen felt like we could improve our time with a gear change and small adjustment after hot laps. Next up would be qualifying for us, Galen goes out first car in the second group and make some great laps but the time wasn't in our favor. We made some more adjustments and another gear change after qualifying trying to find some speed before racing with the southern all-stars for 40 laps. We start the 40 lap feature in the 12th position, the track had rubbered up when the green flag dropped producing some great racing. Galen went to school learning how to race the track and what line to run during the feature. After the 40 laps of racing was over Galen had raced his way up to a 11th place finish.
