Super Late Model Racing At Tri Co Racetrack: The Southern All Star C.T. Barnett Memorial

- Super Late Model racing on Labor Day! We loaded up the Super Late Model Train and headed to Brasstown NC to race in the C.T. Barnett Memorial Southern All Star Race. After a crazy mess up in hot laps, we regrouped and qualified 5th out of 18 cars. In the main we dropped back to 8th then regained a position. We were running in 7th place with approx 10 laps remaining when the upper control arm on the left front broke, ending our night.
Great little bullring in NC glad I got to see racing there several times.

Just thank God that the car is not in as bad of shape as it could have been. I think next race you and your crew will be prepared and run fine. Like the video. Great family.✌️

Car was running good , that black cloud will go away sometime , lost wheel could have been so much worse , and I really liked you putting the prayer on the video also , the world sure needs a lot more of that !! Good Luck next time out !!

It was a good run. We had like a ck list to make sure everything is tight and ready to go. At least it didn't tear up much. If those are the same control arm from the previous accident, might want to ck the rest for some hairline cracks. We had same situation with us one time. Thanks for the video

Love watching you guys and ladies with both cars I especially liked the white car W/red flames I'm sure you'll get this one tuned as far as losing the tire a lot of crews have a bad habit of letting the car down before the car at least has 3 or 4 lugs tight enough to center the lugs and get them bottomed out, once it hits the ground before at least even 2 it's a problem. I'm kinda wondering why you need those blanks for unloading and loading the car I've never had to do that.🤔
Thank you!!! Yeah we usually tighten all lugs before letting car down on the ground, this time the LR was missed all together. We have a check list now to sign off on when lugs are tightened. As far as the planks we use, the car sits so low on the left side the planks help to keep nose and body from dragging so much on the trailer door and ramp overs.

It almost seems like the engine is slightly breaking up going down the straightaway.
