It’s always interesting for me to realize that every piece of rolling equipment on the ARR had to get there by boat! There’s no rail link to the outside world, and as I understand it, everything comes into Alaska at either Whittier or Seward. Great stuff! Thanks for posting!
As an alaskan, I have seen the anchorage rail yard is somewhat small. The one in Fairbanks where I've been too is a little bit bigger. There's not much activity in the anchorage rail yard other than shunting cars around to the local industries. The rail barges in Seward are full of activity.
3005 and 3006 still carry their original Prime manufacturing PM-733 loudspeaker bells. Great video

The Alaska railroad does not regularly use cabooses on their trains
