- Back Again with another video. For this video I will take the Mach-E on a road trip, and push the range as far as we can before charging. Can I charge at EA without problems ?

Great video. Very informative. EA seems to be relatively problem free in California and Arizona. I now charge to 80% SOC at every charge stop, and pull in to charge when battery is approaching 20%. Takes more time but eliminates range anxiety.
Thank you!
Thanks for the video. Lots of good info. I’ve made a few long range trips in Fl/Ga in an id4. So far, knock on wood, the EA chargers have been pretty decent.
Things got much better after having a charging module replaced/updated.

Ga/FL EA is good? I've yet too try it yet but I live in GA.
Good video to see real world road trips. And as you found out, dont push it if you dont have to. Always charge at the first one you can find, because the 2nd or 3rd one might be in use or not working. I haven’t had to fast charge yet. (I did practice once and worked fine on a EA charger)
Yeah, I found that out. The EA app and plugshare said all station were working.. And they obviously weren't. I wanted to push it, I should have gone to the one earlier. The first one was too close
“Blue clues” 😂
I’m gonna miss driving in New England. Bath Maine to the cape was always a fun drive. Put 5k on this summer alone.
I'm so almost 6k miles in almost 5 months. Definitely put more miles on since I bought this car then I typically would have.
warm climate is one thing, the range anxiety comes in during the colder months.
For sure. ruclips.net/video/F3zddzcRAAM/видео.html
188 miles with a 100% charge seems really low! Is that due to the cool weather?
Yeah, the Select AWD model is only EPA rated for 211( now rated 224). I'm the warm months I would see anything from 220-245 on the guess-o-meter and in the really cold 130-160.
I don't pay the guess-o-meter any mind though, those #s don't mean much plus it was plenty of range for my use case.
Thanks for the video. Wondering how you ran a 240 volt out to your detached garage for your Grizzl-E charger?
That's just a shed. I used to have a hot tub not too far away. I used underground wire, and dug a trench. The wire is encased in so I didn't need any conduit and installed a 14-50 outlet that I mounted to the shed.

@@EVandMe got it. Thanks again!
I like BluesCruise as a name better than BlueCruise btw.
Hi Nick, great video mate :) I´m considering to order a Mach-e LR RWD, is it worth to pay extra for LR or is the SR enough? My daily commute is about 30-40 miles and maybe 4-6 trips per year which are about 250 miles. Regards from Sweden
Thanks!! For me, the standard range is enough for my average use. How is the overall charging infrastructure where you are? At 250, mi. You're likely going to have to charge at least once regardless SR or LR. But it will be at the charger longer or maybe 2 short charges with the SR.
@@EVandMe In Gothenburg charging infrastructure is very good and some of them are still free or they are cheap. My biggest consider is for long trips but with one or to charges it would work :) Thank´s that you sharing with us your experience.
@@brziboyy yep europe got the charging infrastructure right unlike merica lol
3.1 miles/kWh and 70 kWh battery shoukd translate into 210mies which isn't bad for hghway driving. Would be interesting to see usage in the other two modes.
Until Ford pushes the official update, I'm still only 68 kwh usable battery, which will put me at 211 which is the EPA rating.

@@EVandMe Are you getting >3 miles/kWh with highway driving (+65 mph)? Just curious since I have a Mach e with standard battery ordered and roundtrip to the airport in 200 miles. Would like to think I can do that w/o charge stops.
@@tokenjoy typically I would say highway, I'm averaging ~2.7 at normal driving, staying with the flow 55-75 mph.... 200 mile round trip would likely require a charging stop, especially when the weather gets colder. I know Logan airport in Boston has EV specific parking with charging.
@@EVandMe Thanks for the info. If you don't mind answering, what percentage do you routinely charge? I can't get a straight answer from the dealership.
How do you set the heated seats and steering wheel with remote start? I have a Mach-e, and I have not seen this feature. I do have scheduled leaves set so that the cabin is warmed. Do you have a video on “preconditioning” the car? Thanks. Enjoy your videos.
Car icon (top left)- settings- vehicle- remote start setup. Ill post a quick short.

@@EVandMe super. Thanks. I have a schedule set and I asked on the Mach e forums, and someone mentioned that seats and steering wheel are warmed this way. My wife drives the car so I rarely see what happens when I do the settings. Nice video follow up. Thanks.
