This Week at Asbury with Pastor Jeff: November 7, 2024

This Sunday at Asbury, we will gather once again to lift up our voices in prayer and sing in community together. We'll be going back to 1730s England as we begin our next sermon series, "Don't Call Me Methodist: Being a Faithful Witness to a Weary World," and visit the time of John Wesley.
What does 1730s England have to do with our present cultural moment? Well, back then, John Wesley was leading the emerging Methodist movement in engaging in their communities and its people, ministering to the prisoners and the marginalized with the hopes of lifting up those who were experiencing despair in their daily lives. It's a reminder of who we are still called to be today.
