About me:
Hi, my name is Theo Mutesa. I was born in Rwanda, but like many Rwandans, my family fled the country in 1994 and we eventually ended up in the Netherlands. That is where I grew up and lived for the past 20 years until 2019. That’s when I moved back to my motherland to follow my dream of opening my own gym and help contribute to the development of Rwanda.

Good luck with the project Theo. I'm sure it will be a big success, the challenges you are facing now will be forgot when your new gym is up and running.
I'm surprised that you are doing such significant changes to the building, as it seems that you will be renting it. What about the costs (and value that you are adding) if you decide to not renew the lease or if the landlord decides to not re-rent it to you. I can understand if you bought and owned it but from what I gather you are renting it. I have to say that I laughed when I saw that bit in the video where the guy had welded the steel bar through the ladder he was on and now couldn't remove the ladder. And..... then he decides to use a grinder to break the weld on the steel bar rather than just knocking out the top timber lath on the ladder. Not sure I'd have him on my site using welders and grinders.
I was un-sure about you removing that ceiling but it looks much more spacious and airy with the work that you have done. Well done on your vision with that. I know that the internal block walls of the changing room will be very likely be plastered but even so, why don't they finish the work more neatly. Those walls should have been properly pointed, it would have been just as easy to point them properly rather than leave them like that. I love the way that your wife switches seamlessly between Dutch and English when chatting to you.

Excellent progress Theo. May I suggest that perhaps you may solicit crowd funding from various platforms. This will mitigate the paucity of capital which is one of the main challenges facing start-ups such as yours.
