WOW - Now I know why people are 50:50 on the Lords. In the commons everyone was for this bill. In the Lords you can smell the self interest and is why 50% are against helping individuals and having fairness for them - instead thinking of companies making a profit. While Mrs Miggins has a £500 bill become £7,000 for no reason! Yea,,, forget her my Lord!
Government letting people who re offenders to keep the houses but not drug addiction or drinking problems
For all those in the boats closing in on 80 years, this whole things is a horrible situation, 82 years left, 6K Premium, 1K There surveyor to give me the qoute, 2K there legal fees, 1 K my legal fees, so 10,000£, or I wait and potentially end up paying £20K if this does not help make it cheaper, I am taking a coin flip on whether or not I trust this doesn't get watered down in the hopes of what? it might only cost me £3k and 999 years not 90.
Not sure what do do, current thoughts is to give this bill to the end of the year and just pay it, 10k better then 20k... i a way I accounted to paying it when i bought the properrt a few years ago so its not a suprise to me
People buying leases with very low years left, why should they profit for us freeholders? I have leaseholders with only 12 years left! They must pay me the value that it’s worth, they can’t buy a fiat in London cheap so they can steal it, and they are also from Romania, wealth being transferred to foreigners like this MP says, they knew what they were buying with 12 years left on a lease! No sympathy from me
